My unpopular opinions of every YuGiOh season. Sevens: The backlash against the show even before it aired was completely unearned and it's genuinely a good show. Faster duels makes every turn count and between Maximum Duel and getting more time for the plot, it's interesting to watch 11 year olds battle a dystopia government. Adults trying to defeat u-18 year olds via card games is pure YuGiOh. VRAINS: I genuinely like the story and think the character development was good, but VRAINS' third season needed 20 more season and some of the duelists really need some major wins. Reducing the cast number to avoid the mistakes of Arc V is understandable, but still. Also, Takeru did nothing wrong. Arc-V: I still like this series. I like Yuya and Yuzu, but between Gongezaka, Sora, the parents actually being in their kids life, Shun, Reiji, Serena, Masumi, Eita, Tsukikage, Yuto, Grace, Yugo, and so many others, the cast and 85% of the show was just entertaining to watch. Zexal: I never liked the "after 5Ds, YuGiOh went downhill" mentality and OG-5Ds is better than Zexal-VRAINS old school new school rivalry. Yuma was a likable underdog who actually had to improve, all the characters were relatable and interesting, the only weak link were the Numbers Club and even I don't hate them like everyone else. 5Ds: I still need to watch the final season, thanks 4Kids, but I don't think the show is overrated or underrated. Its good. Carly was robbed thanks to the actress stuff, I wish Akiza's plotline wasn't cut, I don't blame Crow for what happened going forward, Luna needed more to do, but overall, the cast and plot make 5Ds good. Not my favorite, but still good. GX: GX isn't badly written, the problem is the inconsistencies between character development and dueling prowess. Bastion gets shafted, Chazz's development is undermined by him never beating Jaden, Bastion got mad disrespect, Alexis was underused in both seasons 2 and 3, and Zane's revival was.....I understand why it's divisive. OG: It holds up despite problems....I don't even hate the DOMA and Noah arc like everyone else, glad Mai, Pegasus, and Gozaburo weren't dropped like in the manga. It's just Marik isn't that good of a duelist, and it's not the perfect YuGiOh series people remember it as.
I agree with a lot of what you say - SEVENS: This anime for sure doesn't deserve the hate it's been given. It's honestly such a fun show with a rich cast of characters. Gakuto for sure deserves more wins though, but at least we've seen he isn't going to be another Sawatari. Even the "filler" characters have shown to be important with them constantly re-appearing and getting to duel more. I think Seven might treat their side characters better than among any of the other Yu-Gi-Oh! animes. VRAINS: Never seen VRAINS, so that's something still on my watch list. ARC-V: I feel like ARC-V has gotten the wrong end of the stick from the fandom because of it's rushed ending. The show could have had another 10 or so episodes to really feel complete. And the Synchro arc could have been a bit shorter in order to give the next two arcs a bit more time. I honestly do like ARC-V as a whole though, Yuya is one of my favorite protagonists in the anime franchise because of his inner struggles. He's just a kid who wanted to play fun and entertaining card games. One the few things I wish for is for Yuzu to have been more involved and for Yugo to have had an actual conversation with Yuya before merging with him. ZeXal: Hands down my favorite among the seven animes. I love Yuma as a character and how he grows as duelist and a person. One thing I love was his relationship with Astral, they felt like legitimate partners unlike Yugi and his other self. I actual liked the Numbers Club members, I only wished they actually dueled more rather than being fodder for other characters to beat. If it SEVENS then they would have gotten much better attention. 5D's: This was a good series, I think it gets put up on a pedestal at times because of that awful "Yu-Gi-Oh! went downhill after 5D's" and Yu-Gi-Oh! became to "kiddie" even though it's a franchise about playing children's card games. I feel as though Yusei was a bit stale in comparison of the other protagonists though, he just sort of stays the same though it all. Also I'm still a bit upset that Crow stole so much focus from Akiza, Leo (especially Leo), and Luna. I wish they would have stuck to the original idea they were going to go with and make him into a Dark Signer rather than an actual Signer. GX: I kinda feel like this was the weakest of all the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series as a whole. The first season was pretty stale, even the Shadow Rider stuff was a bit flat at times. SEVENS has shown us that "filler" episodes could actually be fun and not feel like meaningless fluff. DM: It was good for what it was. I really wish they had just animated the ENTIRE manga rather than just the Duelist Kingdom arc and further. It really kills the Kaiba brother's and even Dark Yugi's character development. Yugi was also much meeker at the start, so him going from that to how he is in DSOD would have been much more satisfying. The anime filler arcs were fun what they were meant to be, I really did like the Noah arc in particular because we could see what an awful person Gozaboro really was rather than just Kaiba's brief flashbacks and mentions of him.
I'm not sure on the overall quality of Sevens but I hate rush duels as a system as the swings in rescources makes dueling less methodical and becaue it's less methodical, duels feel like it isn't so much up to a characters skill but rather the character's luck. It also feels alot more bullshit to have someone top deck the correct 5 cards over top decking the correct card (imagine if Yugi randomly top decked all of Exodia in the first episode rather than pulling the last piece) I haven't watched pass the first duel so it may of fixed my problem but I don't plan on watching Seven if they continue to rush duel
@@voxsvoxs4261 I feel like you're just not giving Rush Duels a chance, if anything it feels more like strategy and actually believable luck, rather than the previous series where they have a super lucky draw with a ridicules effect.
I think since they were only doing the big main characters, Mai was considered more of a side character, kind of like Mokuba, Bakura, ect so that's probably why they didn't have Tara Jayne, Megan Hollingstead(the first voice actress for Mai from seasons 1-3), Erica Schroder(the second voice actress for Mai during season 4), or Ted Lewis. Just my guess lol.
I wish yugioh gx and 5ds could be finished dubbing, since there are quite a few people who miss a lot of voices and it would be very considerate of them if we knew something about it about dubbing. thank you very much for reading this
If they ever bring back tournaments and these actors go to them, I'd love to see a tag duel with Dan and Wayne where they summon Red Eyes Dark Dragoon.

It also feels alot more bullshit to have someone top deck the correct 5 cards over top decking the correct card (imagine if Yugi randomly top decked all of Exodia in the first episode rather than pulling the last piece)
I haven't watched pass the first duel so it may of fixed my problem but I don't plan on watching Seven if they continue to rush duel
@@voxsvoxs4261 I feel like you're just not giving Rush Duels a chance, if anything it feels more like strategy and actually believable luck, rather than the previous series where they have a super lucky draw with a ridicules effect.
About GX: They at least pay off Chazz in S4. I don't know too much about dub tbh, but I highly recommend watching the sub, btw.
No one remembers the og ad perfect and that's why we love, cuz of the bs and ridiculousness
Love seeing the OG’s🙌🏽💯
It would be so cool if Yugioh had it's own card game like in the anime and manga!

PLEASE can you tell me the name of the intro soundtrack of the final episode of zexal ( forever zexal ) PLEASE and sorry my bad English
Oi have the company dub season 4 of gx
where is Mai? 😶
I wondered the same thing.
Erica Schroder(idk how to spell her last name) was probably busy at the time, and they probably only wanted the main people.
Which Mai?! Remember she has two voice actors
@@simon_wiggle_fan It's plausible, and if it's true, then it kinda makes sense in a way.
Why wont ya make a fusion card bewtween blue eyes and red eyes to make puple eyes gray dragon
I wish yugioh gx and 5ds could be finished dubbing, since there are quite a few people who miss a lot of voices and it would be very considerate of them if we knew something about it about dubbing. thank you very much for reading this
you ever consider the reasons behind them not finishing the dubbing for those two series?
@@EBlade3529 yes man, i know
SAME! 😩😭
Every time Eric speaks all I hear is Brock
You can easily indentify the main character
Huzzah Sevens English dub confirmed!
Well Looks Like Bakura's Busy With Ryou 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They made my childhood rule 🙂
If they ever bring back tournaments and these actors go to them, I'd love to see a tag duel with Dan and Wayne where they summon Red Eyes Dark Dragoon.
Love this!!
Eric Stuart is a legend
I’m falling in love with Tea Gardner ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
This cool wish to also see Ed Paul aka Ted Lewis 😊
He's Giovanni and Tracy from Pokemon and King Dedede and Escargoon from Kirby anime (my favorite Ted's Character).
