Soly takes divots on the first 2 holes even though he has the mat. I literally flinched when he did it.

Love it. This Crash Course is the best! Watching the tournament now just makes me truly appreciate how good the pros are and how the tough the golf course will play. Well Done!

I'm liking that carrying around a mat of grass idea. The fairways I play are like hitting off concrete. I just might try this.

From watching the PGA Tour, I feel like greenside rough is kind of an American thing? I'm Australian and cannot recall *ever* playing a course with greenside rough.

You are 100% right, one of those boys is about to take that course to pieces and make all the members sad.
I worked the 2015 NCAA's as a videographer for my school and it is absolutely every bit the bear they say it is. Winning individual score over four rounds was still over par with the best college players in the country. When we got done, our coach said, this course was designed to host US Opens - I wouldn't be surprised if it does someday.
Back tees closed for pampered pros.. Solly a bit salty about that.. he would know about pampered.. haha
I had the same caddie when I played last summer with a buddy that is a member! Hell of a course to play and great people. Hoping to get back when covid is over for another round!!

You only show pictures of the men's NCAA championship when he references them. Big Randy is triggered.
Call me a crazy asshole but to me Soly doesn't fit in with the other NLU guys. not a bad guy just not the same carefree attitude as the others.
They’re all different. Soly isn’t a loose and care free as some of the other guys, but he’s not a tight wad. He’s at least authentically himself.
I think the fundamental difference is that he takes pro golf and his own golf seriously, which is fine.
They are a good mix and Soly is an integral piece of the composite. But yeah, he represents a different character than Big Randy or Neil.
