Never apologize for pausing to tell a quick story or to comment on what's happening - lots of people watch reaction videos specifically for those 'interruptions' Love your content!
It's worth noting that, as Karl said in the Podcasts, Egypt was the first one they filmed. So Karl's complaints about the hotel room are even better when you realise that _THAT_ was his first experience on An Idiot Abroad.
Hi, I live in the u.k and I watch this quite often. Most Americans don’t seem to understand British humour but you do. Karl is seriously funny because he’s so naive to other cultures, he doesn’t know what to do, he’s out of his comfort zone. It’s great to see an American who understands the humour.
I've been to Egypt (Sharm el sheikh) and the amount of people who come up to you wanting you in their restaurants/bars trying to sell you something is INSANE ! It's so annoying .
I remember a game called Sleeping Dogs set in Hong Kong. You could get a "tourist" outfit in the game and if you wore it all the prices in the shops and the night market went up.
I stayed in a home stay in Alleppey, India, the bed there was just a mattress cover stuffed with sheets of cardboard, It wasn't the comfiest bed I've slept in, but what really made me think was that the homeowner and his wife had both made beds up on the floor and they slept there, they were allowing us to use their beds they would normally sleep on, props to them for putting up with it for so long when I could barely put up with it for a few nights!
You have got to watch “Meet Karl Pilkington”...about 19 minutes or so (if you haven’t already). It’s with Ricky interviewing him...I promise you will not be disappointed! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching these Josh. You choose such great content to react to, and gives us all a great excuse to rewatch this amazing show. Plus you're not talking over everything and your reactions are fantastic, one of the best reaction channels on the entire platform.
I lived in Cairo and studied Arabic there. It was a big culture shock moving there from the UK, but you scratch under the surface and get to know people and it’s an amazing country. Brought back fond memories of exploring Cairo.
Request: I was going to mention Monty Python, but I didn't know if you'd seen everything already. Definitely check out the "Life of Brian - Biggus Dickus" clip, at least, and maybe the Life of Brian Stoning scene. Good, classic UK comedy.
I've seen all the idiot abroad episodes, it's weird because they aren't something I'd ever be bothered to watch again but it's more entertaining watching them along with you.
HUGE RESPECT TO JOSH FOR CONTINUING TO DO VIDEOS AND MAKE US LAUGH DURING THESE DAYS. Frankenstein's Lab has stopped making videos. JOSH IS THE MAN! RESPECT!

Hi Josh mate from Reading in the UK! (Ricky's hometown as well) Been watching your channel for a while now and I'm so glad you've discovered the genius that is Karl Pilkington! You upload every night just as I begin my weed and chill before bed which is great lol. Keep up the Karl videos mate and can I request you have a listen to some of the old XFM radio shows these 3 used to do together?! They were a bit younger and ruder then and it was a bit of a free for all. No video but there is audio all over UA-cam which will have you dying bro! Peace from England dude x
Loved the haggling, I went to Egypt for my honeymoon, my wife was on at me all holiday to try and haggle. Anyway we wanted some Egyptian paper called Papyrus paper, so we went to a place called Narma Bay. At the end of the night we went to this shop and the owner called himself the Egyptian Lionel Blair, anyway we went in to his shop and my wife seen the Papyrus paper she wanted and Lionel said "that's 90 Egyptian pounds" , I said "too much" my wife said "what you doing you're going to balls this up" I said "relax I've got 50 left in my wallet I'll get this for 50" any way after 20 mins of haggling Lionel said "what price do you want to pay" " 50 Egyptian puinds" he said go on then " your robbing me here" I gave him the 50 he shouts "what's this? " I said 50 Egyptian pounds he " this is 50 cent not pounds" that's all I had on me he wasn't happy he was going apeshit for wasting his time and m wife calling me a knob head.
I'm doing alternate day fasting at the moment, where I only eat every other day. Your videos are a wonderful way to to distract me from food whilst having a great laugh! 😂😂😂 thank you!
@@nathantrudgill5057 Thank you! I've seen benefits from doing simple 16:8 fasts and doing one meal a day, but I'm taking it to the next level! :) Thanks for your encouragement! Thank goodness for these videos! Haha
See, as much as Karl moans he has learnt something’s on these trips about himself. I think he’d be quiet happy in a world where the old Indian guru was religion, the caves were his home, the culture was Mexican and the wall between Palestine & Isreal never existed. All things I’m sure he’d never even thought about before this.
I only found your channel 2 days ago and I already love it. You seem like such a wholesome and kind person. Thank you for keeping me entertained the last couple days and hopefully for a long time to come!
When Karl said, "What's the rush? It's been here for 4,000 years, what's he doin'?" he sounded like Alan Partridge if Alan had Karl's Manc accent (or Steve Coogan's Manc accent for that matter).
You gave me a reason to watch, Idiot abroad again, thanks. Found your page this morning and have been watching it all day. You're doing a great job. One piece of archive is that you can comment more as you're watching the video. I don't mean pause the video and comment, but you can throw your 2 cents in there randomly as the video plays. Anyway great videos, keep up the good work. I have some suggestions but i think we probably watch the same stuff. Haha so anything I suggest you have probably already seen.
It makes sense to be selling live animals given the heat. It's a good way around keeping them fresh without refrigeration. It's actually environmentally friendly.
Mont Python is great - silly, wacky comedy but intelligent at the same time. 'The Life of Brian' is a fantastic film, probably my favourite comedy film.
Haha, when you asked “what’s a mozzy bite?” ,you looked straight ahead and I nodded and said “yeah”,as if you were asking ME! Oh no,what an eejit am I? 😂🤣😂🤣😂 Newgrange in County Meath,EIRE,built around 3200 BC,is older than the Pyramids AND Stonehenge! Lot of people don’t know that 💚🇮🇪💚
The Biggus Dickus scene from Monty Pythons The Life of Brian is hilarious. The extras in the background couldn't keep their shit together. It also features Michael Palin who they mentioned in this episode
If you're looking for Monty Python, I'd suggest "Jehova", "The Knights of nee", and "Tis but a scratch". Hilarious and would probably explain a few references you've seen haha!
I will add to this with another Monty Python request in the future from Josh (and hopefully Tay!) 'Biggus Dickus'... Monty Python were such comedy brilliance that will be unlikely to see such greatness again any time soon with PC culture.
Karl's right when he says you don't see the tourist attractions where you live. I've lived by the seaside my whole life but I haven't been to the beach in years.
Please try and watch, DEREK, that Ricky Gervais wrote and starred in. Karl didn’t want to be in the two series produced, but Ricky managed to get him to act, or really just be his hilarious self, playing the caretaker in a care home. Absolutely fab!
It’s hard to notice but Egypt was the first episode they filmed during An idiot abroad, but was shown on Sky as the 5th episode. Not sure why. Even in The Ricky Gervais show Karl mentions he’s ‘only done Eygpt so far’ when discussing the the series 😁
Dude I love your videos so much. A chap from 🇺🇸 appreciating something from 🇬🇧! Doesnt happen often 😀. Take a look at a show called Friday Night Dinner. Really funny show, massively popular over the last decade in the UK. From the makers of Inbetweeners but a lot cleaner and relatable.

Couldn’t agree more! I could watch these videos without the commentary, but I choose to come here because I really enjoy this lovely chaps input! 👌
Josh - "I hope Karl's girlfriend never sees this"
2 minutes later...
Egyptian guy - "I can have 4 women"
Josh - "I wanna live there" 😂
Comments Section - "I hope Josh's girlfriend never sees this"
The trouble with having four wives is that means 3 out every four man don't have wives. Its unhealthy socially.
It's worth noting that, as Karl said in the Podcasts, Egypt was the first one they filmed.
So Karl's complaints about the hotel room are even better when you realise that _THAT_ was his first experience on An Idiot Abroad.
Karl ”ive tasted that, I swear I've had that before”

@Jkinsg92 Least funny one for me to be honest.
Season 2 also has the desert island and swimming with 'dolphins' episodes so it's worth watching as well
