The next few albums are my favourites, but these are also amazing. Out of Blue comes Green was written by Pål in relation to his parents if I recall? There's never a forever thing and This alone is love are both awesome. My fav lyric from the latter "And all of us, who are travelling by trapdoors, our souls are a myriad of wars... and I'm losing every one". 🌹🕊
I love the entire album, each song for different reasons. „You‘ll end up crying“ gets stuck in your head after a few listens. The instrumentation with the strings and that menacing base…If you“re still doing live reactions to album tracks you can look for versions of the songs on their 1989 SOTR Tour. There is HD material to find from Rio de Janeiro…although if I remember correctly Morten forgets almost all the lyrics of Out of the blue comes green there - it still sounded good though:)
Oh my goodness, how did it take me four weeks to see this?! I've said it before, but i just adore watching you adore A-ha. And if you didn't just crack Morton's eternal beauty, he's a zombie!!?? That's it, but a non murderery kind. The best kind. also, no decaying grossness. All the perks.
The title «Out of blue comes green» was actually Pal’s American wife’s idea. Her name is Lauren Savoy, and they later formed a band together called «Savoy». «Velvet» was originally a Savoy song, and a far better version imo😊

I remember Mags (keyboards/songwriter) saying that they wanted to break out in a much bigger way than they ended up doing with this album.... It sounded just fine to me !!! There are some genuine classic a-ha songs on SOTR. Great reaction as usual !!! Many a-ha fans will scold me for this but... I still really love Touchy! There, I said it.
@@kaybailey-jones3740 Yeah, that makes perfect sense. I've always said that Touchy! was the compromise to the record company to have a radio hit, like "here, take this and leave us alone" LOL. EOTS,WOTM is my all time favourite sound for a-ha.
Did you realize how very different the album version of "Living Daylights" from 1988 is compared to the single (and James Bond soundtrack) version from 1987? You did not mention it, so I wonder ;-) Would be interesting to hear which one you prefer.

My second favourite A-Ha track of all time. Morten’s voice is just chefs kiss. But nothing beats Hunting High & Low for me 💜

For me, it was overproduced, the songs solid, but they sound too *shiny* I don’t know that make sense? I adored Scoundrel Days, it was rough.

I had already listened to both versions prior to listening to the album, so that's why it wasn't mentioned. I prefer the album version. 😊
