Actually, in my multiplayer game I had democratic Mexico in the 39ies with women's sufferage, expanding industry and worker's unions. I was at stability 81 while USA had only 60%. I was REALLY thinking about building a wall starting by errecting emplacements in Tijuana...to keep the gringos in Texas and California ;)
Kim Jensen “My fellow Christians, we are here to save you...” “Oh thank God! It’s the Catholic Church!” “FROM YOURSELVES! “Oh no... it’s the Catholic Church...”
Nice seeing this DLC, I was looking forwards to it. And super nice seeing you play as a Latin American nation. Also nice seeing the devs give Latin America some love (even if we didn't do much on a global scale during WWII).
Quick Spanish tip 2: Ll sounds, in Spanish, are similar to the hard Y in words like Yemen. The letter Y sounds the same except when it is alone or at the end of a word. In those cases, it sounds like the first "i" of the word "Inside"
For those of you that are starting this, always, ALWAYS start with Plan of Agua Prieta and get rid of calles, then get Cedillo arrested to get most of the debuff out of th eway and not have to worry about uprisings.
2:45: Man, I wish my history classes didn't focus so much on the American parts of WW2. Every time I hear about a new theater of the war (or separate war that stopped someone from entering any theater), I can't help but think "This sounds so much cooler and more interesting than Uncle Sam vs. Nazis".
Wow, im so glad that in the UK we have a wider historical education, especially when it comes to WW2. We learnt about all the different theatres, and from other nations perspectives such as the soviet union.
I feel like going the church heavy way is the wrong approach. Like you said with dispersed Vs concentrated, you need every bit of production you can get.
Fuel is gonna take some getting used to... For me, it seems to only last a few days before it runs out. Makes it incredibly tedious and adds even more micromanagement to not only fleets, but also an unwieldy taskforce system, air wings, land vehicles, and the veterancy/training behind all of them. On the other hand, I absolutely love the new ship design menu and I can only imagine what mods will do to add flavour, like millennium dawn (if he ever Comes out with a new update. He complained about people harassing him on modDB with being too slow to release a version for waking the tiger. His words were along the lines of "here, here's your stupid update"). But back on topic, I'd also like to see something similar implemented for land and air vehicles, like a closed or open top, welded or caste armour, diesel or petrol, caliber size, rifled barrels, muzzle brakes, types of MG-mounted weapons, tracked, wheeled, or semi-mechanised; there's so much potential. Black ice tried something similar I believe and a few other mods, with adding upgrades to aircraft variants like bomb weight, cannon Vs machine gun etc. I'd adore this kind of flavour for more than just the navy, because it also gives modders the option to add custom images and modules to the designer. Instead of having different tank techs that should arguably be in the same tier (panzer 3 and 4 for example), you could actually create the panzer 4 from a panzer 3 base, but need to unlock the chassis and modules behind a timed tech. Maybe even go deeper into equipment designing, like adding extended magazines, sights, (infrared STG comes to mind), grip (difference between an mp38 and an mp40, or an airborne variant of the M1 carbine), bolt action Vs semi automatic; literally SO MUCH there now with the new systems. I'd also like support technology to be more in-depth, and maybe split it off between mines, machine guns, mortars etc. Or add modules to certain vehicles that would make them weaker, but faster and maybe even able to be paradropped now we have amphibious vehicles. Id also like to see actual convoys as ships and able to load a division into a transport plane like hoi3, because having a detachment of marines with your fleet was always useful for fast deployment as opposed to the nearest marine Division being in Hawaii or something, having to invade across 3/4ths of the Pacific Ocean. Germany also had something called "air infantry", which were basically infantry who were able to be flown and deployed from airport to airport, instead of going by land. Obviously it became disused once they lost air superiority and most air divisions were reassigned to normal land divisions, but it would still be nice to have multiple types of warfare to play with and how useful those divisions can be. But I definitely appreciate the new releasable nations because if I wanted to play up to 1960-1970 as the US with NATO, trying to recreate the Vietnam war etc, it always bugged me that I had to cheat "tag" to all the factions, and release what I could. This meant western Africa was still owned by England, Portugal, and France, because the only releasable African nations were in the south. Even islands such as the waywards in the Caribbean are releasable, which is fun for historic recreation. Edit: I just found out that vehicles even idle will consume fuel... Definitely going to be hard getting used to.
Although the mod thing would be cool, it would add a whole lot more complexity to the game, and would need a whole new range of mechanics (ie building own tanks, what combination of mods will do against other combinations, etc.). Plus, AI would have to also be updated to take advantage of these mechanics, all while making sure no nation gets too powerful with the mods.
Saturnino Cedillo was a revolutionary from San Luis Potosi, he fought in the Cristero war, he became the governor of the state of San Luis Potosi and boost the early aviation for military purposes , he was purged after conspiring with Nazi Germany very little is known of him in history book. ua-cam.com/video/U47RMEQLz5E/v-deo.html here a link to a video with more info, its short and Spanish I recommend to putting captions.
Since you went with Calles, I suggest you don't go favoring the church. Calles, historically was very anti-church. I would check if having Calles limits going down the church options/makes the church more likely to start a civil war.
Quick tip for Spanish words: The tilde shows the stressed syllable. So "Cárdenas" e.g. is KAHR-de-nas, not kahr-DEH-nas and María is mah-RI-ah not MAH-ria. If the word comes without tilde, there are specific rules but 8/10 will be stressed in the next-to-last syllable, like Colombia, with is coh-LOHM-bia.
Why do you play a dlc about navy and exile governments as Mexico instead of GB, USA, Netherlands or Japan who could actually show of some of those features??? :(
Postron I mean any country with sea access can show off naval forces. And depending on what happens he could end up hosting an exile nation. So he could end up showcasing those features.

Trading is only worth it when you need the full 8 of that resource because the penalty of not having enough resources is not worth 1 civilian factory.
Yeah, I think it's like 5% penalty per missing resource.
I think its a lot lower than that

There's actually a national focus called antidisestablishmentarianism? I love it!
So glad to finally see play throughs for man the guns
I do wonder about that decision to waste a factory importing an item that is only 1 resource short, that's only a minimal effect on your production.
also the steel would have been required for convoys so who cares about a few percent less on convoy production

You can also train your air wings, they take major penalties to being green. Something like 10 or 15% reduced agility IIRC, plus some other negatives.
