No because it wasn’t a practice yet. The rosary is meditating on the life of Christ our Lord. The Our Father prayer is biblical, the Hail Mary is Biblical. The Catholic faith follows scripture, tradition, and the Magisterium (the teaching authority of the church). We don’t only follow scripture but we do follow it, none contradict one another. They all make up the Church.

I love praying the 3 mysteries of the Holy Rosary it is helping me a lot. I do not share to even my closest family member and friends what I go through with one of my friend. There is a Novena you can do to help your brother to definitely be saved and without interfering with his free will. Receive communion worthily daily and say Pater and Ave for the good of the Church for 30 consecutive days, for lay and religious. Priests consecrate and do Via Crucis. This saves the soul for whom you pray AND yours too the very first time you do the novena. You can do it repeatedly for all the people you know and care about. After you finish that, do the novena for the BVM to decide who gets this grace as she knows when we're all dying. I've done it for my family and friends and whoever the Virgin wants. My father was Muslim and was baptized on his deathbed. A friend did it for her father, he died the next day in peace. So many graces. If you find that you normally were able to make mass but suddenly you have obstacles, pray the Miraculous Medal Novena to help you. You should get communion at mass as possible, but you don't have to. It counts anyway.

The rock JESUS was referring to was the revelation that HE was the son of GOD.

Catholics don't believe the Rosary is "vain repetition" because it's a meditative prayer focused on key Scriptural events, not just reciting words. It's reflecting on Jesus and Mary's life, deepening our relationship with them.

Read the entire bible n u wont find wht your priest advised. Saying the rosary is not in the bible. Saying 15 decades is a waste of time. This is catholicism. God says, through his word, I AM YOUR HEALER AND PROVIDER. God did not authorise any man to make changes to his word. So start to read the bible.
Are we as Christians still under the Law? What is Jesus telling us in Malachi 4? Who was Peter to Jesus? What is Catholicism founded upon? What timeline are we on Dannyboy???

Christ the Lord is most pleased by the beautiful prayer of the Scriptures known as the Holy Rosary, as He is also very pleased by obedience to His Holy Bride, the Catholic Church, and honor given to His Holy Mother Mary (and He's displeased by disobedience to His Church and lack of honor given to His Mom-- may God have mercy on those who sin by disobedience to His Church and who fail to give due honor to His Blessed Mother).
