    If you don't have bee's you will have to hand Pollinate ,

    I have 6 plants. 1 of them have more light green leaves compared to deep grass green leaves on my other 5. I see the baby zuch on the female blossom are also that light green moving to yellow. I am gonna add the Tums crushed in water and try it. My soil is good organic and I just composted and add Bloom synthetic watering.
    I took your advise and pruned like crazy. I have lots of male flowers and have had 2 zuch fruits that looked normal size and then about 4 to 6 small 2 -3" zuch fruits (not sure if they pollinated or just small because the container might be restriction.). Thanks for a great vid

    • @Greentgarden
      @Greentgarden  2 роки тому +3

      Might be the container size or it might be if the weather is too hot sometimes the plant gets more stressed out or sometimes need more nutrition.. I've been using garden lime. Makes a bit of water to boost the calcium up. It works really fast... Watch out for squash bugs and vine borders too , dealing with that right now in my garden. Got a video for that soon ... And thank you so much 🙏💚

      That's the best way to go organic, Check into the description box. I have a link for more details. It's organic garden lime. I got it from Amazon.. this year i try to keep it mostly organic stuff, like I'm doing my own home compost. I use fresh grass clipping and used coffee grounds so far.. and now this garden lime , cause I was losing too..

    I'm so glad i found your videos! I've had so many issues with zucchini planting. Some female flowers dont even open up at all for me to hand pollinate. The petals just remain sealed shut and then shrivel up and rot..I know they didn't open because the petals are so fairly hard. Have you experienced that before and would you know what the problem is? Thanks!

    • @Greentgarden
      @Greentgarden  Рік тому +4

      I had this problem before, so I know the flowers open in the morning and only one day to pollinate, if the flower rots before opening, it means the plant is in stress , could be a watering problem (over watering mostly) or need more nutrients , add organic fertilizer, fresh soil or home compost , after doing these give it a couple days should be good .. always do a light pruning it helps.. I do have a video on pruning a zucchini in playlist

    Yes, the past 2-3 years I've got little production from mine as well. So better pruning practice and hand pollinating from now on. Also another thing people can do is buy parthenocarpic seeds. These require NO pollination at all. They grow the same way but don't need to be pollinated. Their fruits have no seeds.

      @@GreentgardenHi I am pretty new to your channel and love it! I am relatively close in Jersey. I had great productivity in the beginning. Then suddenly about a month ago my zucchini bottom leaves are yellow with brown dying edges plus the female buds are turning yellow shriveling before even opening. Even at the tiniest stage. I have added calcium twice now since a month, I have pruned leaves underneath and pull off the dying buds. The male flowers are fine so I’m saving in the fridge. My watering is pretty consistent and I’ve done a lot of prevention from vine borers and spend hours weekly picking eggs off and caring for my plants. I’m really at a loss at this point. I have no luck with zucchini, squash and also beets not bulbing in my zone 7a. I have watched all videos on UA-cam about this and still researching everywhere. I feel like every single plant in my gardens are having issues. Do you have any other suggestions or tips?

    • @Greentgarden
      @Greentgarden  23 дні тому +1

      So typically it will be a sign of too much water or sometimes lack of nutrition..
      If you see brown spots in it, check on underneath the leaves , make sure you don't have any bugs ..
      Increase your fertilizer and keep adding every 2 weeks. Also do not water too much..
      Water every 2 to 3 days lightly if it's really hot water once a day lightly

      Sorry to hear that , So basically the plant is stressed out or lacks calcium.. try to increase the calcium and the fertilizer..
      Also try to stick to your water schedule if you're watering morning time try to stick with morning time or even in the same..
      Water every 2 to 3 days..
      Add fertilizer every 2 weeks..
      You already at fertilizer to the plant at some of this calcium to help..

      It works pretty good.. once you increase the fertilizer and you add this calcium , give it some time it will produce..

    • @Greentgarden

      Oh yea , some people think they are pollinators and some people think they eat the pollen.. can't see when ants will take pollen from a male to female flowers lol I tried to keep ants out of my garden. I sprinkling the cayenne peppers around and if I see them in the flower I take a small brush and remove them gently..
