      Diversion load could be heating thermal mass to heat the shop.......Or home.....

    I used a 400 watt for years ..loved it! ..the sound of the blades cutting through the wind was music to my ears ...if I had to do it again I'd go for a more powerful one, seems you can never get enuf power when you're off grid. The one thing that I would do differently other than going bigger is to cut down on the lengths of the copper wires because copper unless you've got deep pockets is very expensive ..what I'd do next time is set one up on a good tower and attach the tower right to a workshop or shed (or at least very close by) that would have all the batteries converters and controllers etc. inside so that when that turbine starts putting out power it would travel right down that pole and right into the control shed or shop where in can be converted right away to AC and fed from there with 14 or 12 gauge to wherever you want it because the further you travel with DC power the heavier the cable needs to be ..when you convert that DC to AC right away as soon as it gets down that pole, you can send it much further with smaller gauge wire.

    That turbine is exactly the same as mine they send me a new stator and shaft it was bigger than my original I simply snipped the wires inside instead up pulling all clamp rings and used twist caps on the new stator wire and zip tied the wires inside and pushed new stator in and caulked the seal around because the rubber one was leaking and put back together and wow. Now I have the new controller john sent me I purchased a 18x18x8 metal weatherproof shielded electrical box and drilled 2, 4 inch OD intake and out take holes installed stainless steel ducts and installed a inline blower and 3 100 watt 3 ohm resistors and temperature controlled relay board drok. Right now I'm wiring these in parallel and connecting to the box john sent with 4 awg wire and lugs.i mounted the redbox from John in me electronics box next to my renogy rover mppt controller 40 amp and 3 phase throw switch. Lever down to red box lever up shorts out 3 phase and gives me braking. Someday I will figure out how to wire 3 100 watt 3 ohm omite resisters to that side so I can just slow it down and still get power. Someday lol.i will post a link after I'm finished.

    Sir. I am an ex Army Helicopter U.S.A retired Officer. I have a son with special needs and I live in Puerto Rico. We have been destroyed by hurricane Maria and now with earthquakes that have destabliced the electric grid. I need your knowledge and compassion because my sons life depends on me getting this turbine up together with a PV system. I respect you, your knowledge and the time that you put into these videos. You know too much and i know nothing. We quickly get overwhelmed with all those parts on the videos that look nothing like the ones on the links you provide. So can you please provide a diagram with the parts on the links so that we can buy and assemble at least one wind turbine. Please accept my apologies for being not so bright. In my opinion, you are an extraordinary man, but please help us with the schematics.
    Cordially and Respectfully,
    N. Montserrat

    My cheap chinese turbine is turning here and there but apperent nit even enough to get 12 volts.
    Now i tried your trick and put unto it a 3.7 volt battery... It has nit exploded but... Not sure it will do much either but I have seen it reach 4 volts.

      Depends on which model you buy from which seller as to how much actual power you will get. Green Energy and B&C use much heavier parts, magnets and copper in theirs verses similar looking turbines.

    Hi John. I don't understand why you don't have a charge controller to maintain fixed voltage without needing load resistors.

    Making to much energy?

    Hi John... info please. I saw long ago a video mentioning to wire a Solar or wind turbine saying something like if you buy a AC.... or DC... the wire going to the station is way smaller and cost less.... then buy a DC... or AC....... That turns it back into usable power.
    Please help. If this makes any sence. Cost of wire in long distance is dramatically low.
    Bless you

    I am looking to order the windmill for my hunting camp we do not have power down there so we are running off the batteries some solar panels but I'm interested in buying one of the windmills I'm not sure if I should go with a three blade or a five blade would like your input I do have some trees around there but I'm at the top of a hill and I'll trim a lot of the trees back thank you you could answer my question like watching your videos

    So it's rated 500W @ 13km/h, yet you get 13W at this wind speed? You actually need 3x faster wind to get the rated 500W out of it? And how are you happy about this result?

    • @PrepperMountainSolutions
      @PrepperMountainSolutions  4 роки тому

      Where's that info? Who said "rating" is based on 13 km? That's not on this video. 8 to 9 mph is battery exceed, full power plus is at 25 mph and it does it plus much more.

      @@PrepperMountainSolutions it's on a specs sticker, visible in the video. Rated windcspeed 13km/h.

    • @BenMossIsHere
      @BenMossIsHere 4 роки тому

      @@circuitdotlt That sticker says 13m/s which means meters per second not kph. 13m/s is 46.8 kph.

    Does anybody know what the sound decibels are when winds are on average 15klm ?

      48 would be for lower wind speed if in an area...
