Great Glen Way In Four Days Part One

An Absolutely fantastic solo trip on the Great Glen Way, four days in brilliant weather. Still a hard slog with many nocturnal wildlife audible encounters.
I will do it again but this time I will take there high route.
Not as popular as other national trails, however this I think makes this one a little bit more special.

It’s interesting watching someone do the trail the opposite way! You smashed the first day; the first 7 or 8 miles would be a constant climb 💪 Legs of steel!

It is very interesting watching it the different way round, the first day did suprise me, I was expecting to be walking along the loch all day, even though it was miles away on the map.
I'm off on my other holiday now so the next 3 parts will need to wait until next weekend

Thanks Steve I didn't want to tackle it the hard way, I even took the low route, although I didn't find it easy just lower🤣🤣

I found it hard to find good camp pitches. That's why I did long mileage days.

Hi mark, nice first day, you did marvellous on the miles, can’t believe how many trails you are knocking off, it’s great, with I had more time, but glad I can get out on all my short camps,
