Yeah when Trump gets back in this is what they will want ,shit I bet the plot is about the wrong prez being elected and then fight to take back the country and kill your fellow American, could it be any more obvious 😂
To everyone triggered in the comments about California and Texas, in the movie they’re allied because they both opposed the dictator president 😐 y’all are embarrassing to actually watch the movie
It's still weird cause they both have different values. The movie is too scared to add more context on why the president is a dictator, what he dod besides declaring a third term and yadayada. Either way it's just another box office bomb that was made to stroke journalist ego.
One of the most incoherent films I've seen. unlike in every other western conflict since the beginning of ownership, we've for some decided that unique military uniforms or markings to distinguish allegiances is to costly or time consuming and so everyone just wears whatever they want along with standard US military gear. troops are stationed in the most random places for apparently no reason and still want to participate in the conflict. Some also seem to just have no real orders or purpose and so just ethnically cleanse arbitrarily or have shoot out's in the woods over Christmas ordainments. It seems like it's trying to say something important about human nature or war in general, but really it's all about the photographers. It's directed at young women for sure since it is so personality oriented rather than focusing on making a believable conflict or helping us to understand the motivations behind the war. Instead it's about what these women think about the dead bodies and what they think about going into a combat zone and what that does to them. The dying people are just props, the whole conflict feels like it's set up so we could talk about how it makes us feel to look at gore rather than explaining to use the motivating factors. It's very self centered and doesn't have a big picture.
I wish this movie was about the actual civil war, instead it’s about the journalists driving and dodging around. The actual war itself is mostly just a background, the real story is the journalists
Ironic given the fact that journalists are the ones who have sowed so much social unrest. Guess they still need to feel important after they've burnt the country to the ground
For all People of color pay close attention and be prepared...dont think your just an American...like everyone else thats for civilization thats for rules....and law... keep that in mind
Check the FBI hate crime statistics. White Americans are less likely to commit a hate crime than the average, though mostly because African Americans are so very much more likely to commit a hate crime that it eschews things for everyone else. Don't be too surprised if the statist ideology doesn't fit the facts, in 1944 most Germans were convinced the war was going badly because the highest levels of the third Reich were infiltrated by Jews. They would have been just as surprised to find out they were lied to
Technically, it’s already started to happen. Maybe not on such a grand scale like it’s shown in the movie but it’s most definitely started. Especially in 2020.
I mean, I'm a Hong Konger, I don't like people calling me Chinese, even I understand why so many people think we're Chinese CCP has strong control in Hong Kong right now, and Hong Kong is now called China Hong Kong by CCP Just like no one call Scots a British, or Ukrainese a Russian, Hong Konger deserves better Anyway, I love this scene, it's a great movie
For all the people talking about WF, cali/texas combo. “Then it’s saying that two states that have a different political position have said, ‘Our political difference is less important than this,'” Garland continued. “And then the counter to that is if you cannot conceive of that, what you’re saying is that your polarized political position would be more important than a fascist president. Which, when you put it like that, I would suggest, is insane. That’s an insane position to hold. So it’s sort of an oblique commentary and I think that’s how the film works in general. It’s not explaining this stuff but it’s also not avoiding this stuff.”

@haydenpatstone2849 You just dont get it, do you?
Any misunderstanding was caused by the completely deceptive advertising that showed about 25 of the 30 seconds of exciting shit in the entire movie.
What kind of American are you?
Appalachian
Next question.
Me too!
So white ? Because me too
@@WheresMyInhaler if that's your assumption, then sure! But I honor my heritage and would never boil it down to White. That's why I said Appalachian.
this movie was beyond dumb
honestly ‘Men’ and this one were disappointing. i know Garland’s like well its not necessarily meant to reflect anything real- but dude- in these times does anyone actually give a fresh flying fuck about “journalists” anymore? don’t make me laugh. journalists helped get us into this mess.
Dont kid yourselves. You know full well why this movie was made.
To make money?
@@ultimor1183 If it was only to make money this would’ve been madam web😂
Because if Trump does not win the next election this will really happen?
Yeah when Trump gets back in this is what they will want ,shit I bet the plot is about the wrong prez being elected and then fight to take back the country and kill your fellow American, could it be any more obvious 😂
Predictive programming
Are you a gluten free American?
Saw it in theatres. Seriously one of the best scenes in the movie. It was SO tense. Jesse is incredible.
I guarantee ya no one would say Biden supporter.
@RoKBottomStudios "Box office bomb"
My guy the movie doubled it's budget already and made $50m profit.

I hear ya as well. There are no morals anymore.
@@gailvaness the whole point of the character is to be as immoral as possible lmao
We should take this movie as a warning
Yup
This is what is coming for America. Give it 10-15 years.
Yes, a warning to not waste money on shit movies. This was drivel!
@@cthuludreams1 wow. I don’t know what movie you watched.

For all People of color pay close attention and be prepared...dont think your just an American...like everyone else thats for civilization thats for rules....and law... keep that in mind
Only if you’re a hyphenated American…🥹
Check the FBI hate crime statistics. White Americans are less likely to commit a hate crime than the average, though mostly because African Americans are so very much more likely to commit a hate crime that it eschews things for everyone else. Don't be too surprised if the statist ideology doesn't fit the facts, in 1944 most Germans were convinced the war was going badly because the highest levels of the third Reich were infiltrated by Jews. They would have been just as surprised to find out they were lied to

That scene was so intense in the movie. Jesse Plemmons just shows up and steals the whole film in 1 scene.

Ok, Yuri
The ONLY way this ever happens, is if Trump and MAGA take control.
Technically, it’s already started to happen. Maybe not on such a grand scale like it’s shown in the movie but it’s most definitely started. Especially in 2020.

The thing people don't realize is that if things don't change this movie will become reality.

From Hong Kong?

omg that scene 😭
I mean, I'm a Hong Konger, I don't like people calling me Chinese, even I understand why so many people think we're Chinese

Just like no one call Scots a British, or Ukrainese a Russian, Hong Konger deserves better
Anyway, I love this scene, it's a great movie
oh China😂
Iam an American, fighting in the force's which guard my country and our way of life.i am prepared to give my life in there defense...
A movie about whats about to happen.
Nobody is misunderstanding. California is a basically fascist state. So no they wouldn't.
Things are going better, than to have something like this happen.
Answer should be constitutional and not defenseless
No. Just no lol

American is not a language.
There's nothing non-American about that character's accent.
And there's nothing un-American about growing up speaking Spanish or any other language, in addition to English.
@irtnyc they don't speak "Mexican," in Mexico either. But they are distinct from other Spanish speakers.
