  • Braille is a symbol system for people with visual impairment which represents letters and numbers as raised points. Braille Box will demonstrate the Braille system.
    Tools:
    1) Microbit
    2) Arduino Mega R3
    3) Breadboard
    4) Solenoid
    5) H-Bridge Connector
Goal & Objectives: To assist visually impaired people/students in
the community using Braille Box to Communicate information.
    Procedure:
Step 1: Press Button-A in the Microbit to display text.
Step 2: Put user palm on the Braille Box to feel raised knobs moving up and down to represent the letters of the alphabet.
Step 3: Check the printed list of Braille symbol to understand letters.
    Observations:
    1) Used Solenoid instead of Servo. Code challenge with servo about the degree of rotation and slow.
    2) Microbit can’t handle multiple servos connections with the available pins.
    3) Power up 6x Solenoids using 3v~6v was challenging.
    4) Power up H-Bridge Connector is also challenging.
    5) Fixed words, and sentences being used.
