My students were asked to come up with a 4 or 8-beat body percussion activity as part of a Jamaican music unit--they are learners, young musicians, who were excited about music. If you don't like it and respond negatively, what exactly do you feel you're accomplishing, besides putting more negativity into the atmosphere? I often wonder about people who have nothing better to do than to watch UA-cam videos and post cruel things.
I think for beginners purposes this is good. That partner movement right and left part can certainly be a “next step”, as most music teachers teach sequentially. These students kept a steady beat, now what they should add is their voices!
