Please keep showcasing the eclectic mix of amazing aggressive music that is happening right now. Would love to see bands like Baptists, Deafheaven, Power Trip, Mammoth Grinder, Conjurer, Gatecreeper, Rivers of Nihil, Zeal & Ardor and all the others who are pushing the boundaries of heavy music and blending genres. Sometimes aggressive music doesn't translate very well to a studio setting, but with Audiotree I find it really helps you appreciate the insane musicianship of these bands who are normally sought after for their energy and don't get the respect for their actual instrumentation and songwriting. Being able to see them playing up close, full tilt, with amazing audio engineering and no distractions of stage divers and whatnot allows you to fully appreciate a band's individual members and the mastery of their instruments.

Audiotree killed it with this one. Cult Leader is the best around right now. Lots of great stuff going on with aggressive music today, but these guys do it the best.
They are killing it for years now. Not even since yesterday. Gaza was one of the hardest shit I have ever listened so no wonder Cult Leader is over the top.
Most, if not all bands that are signed to the Deathwish Label are amazing. Bands like Cult Leader, Gouge Away, Oathbreaker, Converge, and Deafheaven are fucking killing it right now.
It’s sounds so good! Im shocked that there is only one guitarist because it sounds like two! Great tones and mixing!! This is the energy I’ve been looking for! YES YES YES!!!! 🤘
I don't know how he goes with the constant riffage changeups but he definitely has a loop pedal so it's not as if he can't play a solid section, loop it and play something new over the top.
Love this approach to music. One of those unique band that captures the true heavy in emotion and music and combines it thus sounding like a poetic bear crying while ripping you apart.
Thank you for putting this out there. I've been a major fan since back when gaza played buffalo ny. I cannot put into words how much the passion or expression these dudes release, resonates with me. True artist. So stoked this exists.
@@janainaalves1894 if we're talking about late 90s-early 2000s Converge-esque Metalcore then yes. If we're including all the modern metalcore bands that have subverted the genre to sound like Djent then no. I'd still say CL are more Hardcore leaning than anything else, and if not then I would say they lean more on the Grindcore/Sludge side of things.

Was lucky enough to see them in SLC before they left on tour. Ive yet to see a band as heavy, both atmospherically and rhythmically, as Cult Leader live.
They kind of remind me of Rosetta, who are incredible live as well. EDIT: Nevermind, had only listened to The Broken Right Hand of God while saying that. Rosetta has a similar vibe to that sometimes.
This band is so dope... If your curious, check french Noise/core metal bands like Fange, Comity, Wolfpack, Cowards, Zapruder, Cörrupt, Oddism, Chaos Echœs, calvaiire, ssanahtes, Filthcult, we've got a big pool of interesting bands here in France, We don't have just GOJIRA ^^
Recently discovered Cult Leader, cannot stop listening to them... anyone got any recommendations to something similar? or just anything... it feels like one of those months where my mind is open to a lot.
Burn In Hell has a really similar sound to these guys especially on Disavowal Of The Creator God. Gouged is also kinda similar to these guys, shame they only had the 1 ep tho
I had never heard of these guys a few years ago until I saw them live opening for, I think it was, Dillinger escape plan. I'll never forget thinking "Wow that drummer must hate his kit"

Oathbreaker DONE !!!
Birds In Row DONE !!!
now i'm waiting for BAPTISTS, DEAFHEAVEN, and the one and only cult CONVERGE
Look I'm here for Cult Leader but thank you for bring Oathbreaker in to this. So fucking good.
The beginning of this session, with that "Check, check, check... cheEEEEEEEEECK" is wonderful
The Broken Right Hand of God rips out your heart and steps on it
exactly.!! favorite track on 'a patient man'. man, those lyrics and the atmosphere.......
That it does. Have you heard any of Thou's songs? You might be really into them if you liked that song. Check out their song "Grissecon"
So does the intro to Sympathetic, super glad they did that this session
I feel death/doom vibes from it (i.e. Daylight Dies vibes). I could be wrong. Regardless this song really brings out the emotion
THANK YOU SO MUCH AUDIOTREE
Bravo Cult Leader. You're killing it. Seem like a bunch of swell dudes too!
Yes! Love seeing extreme bands here, keep it up! Adore that Sumac tee and love their influences.

So raw, so sincere.
this band was supposed to play in Copenhagen back in 2020 but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit... I hope they finally come here
SO SICK
Gaza was one of the first really heavy bands I ever saw live and they made me shit my fucking pants. And now I'm about to shit em all over again.
Jesus piece Next please there are amazing.
Yo!!!!
This band rules! Please get Gorguts or Ulcerate on.
I fucking love Ulcerate...
Either one would be insane. Hopefully they do someday
THE GLORIOUS CULT LEADER IS HERE TO DELIVER US TO THE NOISY PLACE
That drummer should get paid twice as much as everyone else in the band.

This is insanely awesome.
Missed them in Kansas City. Regrets. Awesome set here.
They're good. But no matter how many relistens i give them. I prefer Gaza :( RIP
I was so looking forward to see this again!
