Umm yeah , I’ve been honest my entire life & have found people that tell me “how refreshing”it is & LOADS of others who don’t want me around because I’m honest . I keep having these experiences & have found myself unemployed more than once because of it (like now) .I have integrity & I refuse to be deceitful, yet I am the one struggling. I had friends growing up that said “don’t ever change that about you” & being honest, feel like it has bent me over the barrel way more than it has benefited me. Its not JUST FLORIDA ( happened to me in Germany in the Army too 😔)…seriously how long do I have to just “keep swimming”…i don’t know how MUCH more I can take …feels like getting pummeled on a regular basis mentally , though you cannot see the bruises I feel them all…getting harder & harder to just stay afloat

Many do not know the price of honesty and integrity. The kind of sacrifices, abuses , mockery, contempt , demonised etc. that life will throw at such a person. I always wonder how many will continue to be honest if they knew before hand the storms that he will have to face.
This story has a good ending. But for every good ending there had been many who were sacrificed on the altar of honesty and integrity.
Also he had the courage to push on even though he had no chance of winning. He didn’t know the others had cheated. And was a laughingstock amongst people he had to see every day. Even though he was scared. That denotes character.
