@bonusbmusic, Well you can pick the frequency and if you press the Yes button you can also adjust by wave shape.

@bergweg Thank you, Yes, if you go to hit the shift button and F5 or System, then go to global settings. On the bottom right there should be fan control. It has three settings although they are backwards. You have play only (which should be record only) and then you have play and record, which is usually what I set it at for recording open mic.

first, thanks for posting these tutorials. Q: Can you disable the fan and just run the recorder silently all the time?

@bonusbmusic Sorry for the late reply, I would think it is very much the same. I have the regular dials for lows, mid, and highs, then you can press the Yes button to get a graphic to modify.

does the 1880 have the same eq parameter editing that the 1824 has?

@bennybass420 I am sorry I did not see your comment. There should be four sets of stereo outputs you should use the main in the back.

+richard derouche Hi I just saw this, I purchased the DC Burner that goes with the Roland The Que Drive QPS525 and a 25 pin computer cord. You get your best mix and press the CD/RW Mastering button to the right of the screen. You can only use 16 tracks if you have an 18 track because in the mastering room you are recording the mix of track one through 16 on 17 and 18. After bushing the CD/RW Mastering button, use the dial to turn the mastring room on, press record and play to record a stereo master on 17 & 18, after recording stereo tracks, turn mastering off with dial, then press the CD/RW Mastering button again and you will see a "CDR - Wrte" (F2), push that button and follow the screens, or you can run audio cords out the analog stereo output to a regular CD Burner and do it that way.

I don't know. The Roland VS1880 looks a great deal more difficult to use than my Korg VS16XD. I got my VS1880 with both effect cards for $60 from a garage sale. I THINK the effects are better than my Korg so I'm temped to use it but it really seems at first glance to be harder to use. Does anyone know which one sounds better? I am willing to work with a more difficult system if the end result sounds better.....
