Absolutely love prisoner cell block h so much fond memories it came on at midnight here in Scotland 🏴 so that was cheese toastie time and tea ☕️ I’ll probably watch this on loop for the rest of my life lol 😆
Lynn Warner, officially the most unluckiest woman in the world lol
I started watching when Bill Jackson was killed. From what I understand, she was framed by her employer.
And the stupidest.
The Warden is absolutely amazing!! She really accentuates the discipline of authority with so much compassion; it's a feal talent and gift to be able to do that
24/1/19 - I love this show. I can’t see why I won’t watch it on loop until the day I die! Seriously. I’m maybe on my 5th time through. It gets better with every viewing. And because there are so many episodes. It’s still regularly surprises!!
L
Agreed❤!
Doreen should have been put in the pound for a week! She stole drugs and set up a fellow inmate to stop her parole! I agree with Letch!
Doreen has really overstepped the mark this time! Poor Lynne, she loved her work release. Doreen needs more than a slap!
Vera is very brave eating food served by Lizzie.
Kay White I agree.
I agree with you
I'm running a book on if she'll poison her or not.
U wanna bet Kay?
@@louisejenkins7005 "leave me alone Gaffney". lol.
that was a stupid move, did she forget what lizzie was jailed for in the first place?!
If I were Lynne, I'd have given Doreen a good kicking for stopping my work release and nearly stuffing my parole!!
The trouble there with Lynne, she is to soft. Her bark is worse than her bite. The only punishment Lynne can dish out, she'll drown everybody with her constant bawling.
Doreen is a pain in the arse in these early episodes, thankfully she gets better. I love it when Bea gives Vera a hard time, very funny.
I loved Doreen but her Franky imitation arc and the framing arc made me dislike her temporarily, on some level I can relate to her being traumatized and immature but at some point you've gotta grow up or at least try to grow up.
... good old Lizzie. She certainly knows how to bust a move. You go, girl & show 'em how it's done!
Joyce oughta use a bit of common sense and stop talking about the money so constantly and openly.
Bea singing 'and tote that barge, lift that bale' at 17:45 is such a witty clapback at Fletcher cracking the whip, 😂. For those who don't know, slaves in the classic musical, Show Boat, sang the song as they worked.
I loved that part when she sang that.
The wonderful Paul Robeson made the best recording of that song🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️🐊🐊🐊
Made me feel old.
Did you know, the recreation room is also the same part of the set for - dining room, staff room, library and workshop! Now thats value for money!
Is it, really? Where did you find that out?
@@stephenpovey-jones6520 Amanda Muggleton (chrissy latham) told me when I met her and had a long chat about the great show
@@davidmills3332 Oh Wow! When and where did you meet her?
@@stephenpovey-jones6520 years ago in the early 90s when the cast were flown to uk by the fan club
@@davidmills3332 Very good!
@ 8:05, it seems like Bea accidentally burned herself on the press for real. It was maybe not scripted, but was kept in as Val reacted naturally, & she skillfully continued after the incident, as Bea would do
+Kaluthrica She actually burned herself because she touched the hot bit when she put her hand down
+Kaluthrica The steampress wasn't real, so Val didn't burn herself. I think Val put her hand on there, realised it was supposed to be hot, and improvised the rest.
It might of been but turned off for the hand burning parts and they improvised with added smoke
Maybe she got an electric shock.
If you look carefully in this episode Jim Fletchers plaster and bruising go back and forth in different scenes from big to small and large bruising to hardly anything.
Fletch the Letch was a real hard-ass in these earliest episodes.
Fletch the letch - the arsehole
jim was brought in to enforce discipline, and all thats happened is erica wont let him!..
That's exactly why he should have been Governor. Erica's the one the Department weren't happy with yet she's still in control.
O.M.G!... lynne always goes from the frying pan into the fire. She should just stay on the farm
Or in prison.
Everytime we think we've gotten rid of bloody lynn something happens
Not this time. Lynn does get her happy ending being released from Wentworth for good. 😃
She goes to Dynasty and is the slutty princess
I love the dancing in the rec room,Go Lizzie!
Davison went way too soft on Doreen. Lynne lost her job and could have been stuck in there longer had Lizzie not spoke up. What Doreen did was so selfish.
Doreen was abandoned as a child she clings to anyone who shoes her any kindness she doesn’t like being alone it’s understandable she shouldn’t have did what she did but I can understand her reasons
Monica makes me laugh 😆 when she calls Fred a little terp
The actor who played Fletcher was very good. When Roger Moore stepped from James Bond I would have considered him to take over the part.
I cannot believe how soft the 'punishment' was for Doreen! Should've put her in another cell.
Erica Davidson is useless.
43 episodes in and there a staff room kept that one quiet
How can anyone not ♥ Lizzy
Because she is annoying twit.
I think she's fun always smiling and laughing. Would cheer any old grouch up. Love the part she plays, nothing too fancy lol. Why a twit?
@@Mosie926 and your annoying bitch
Lizzie was funny and a beautiful Lady💃
@@cuccicucci4480 "Would cheer any old grouch up" except mobaby1975 it seems.
Monica- Fred, I see your face healed up, I thought I'd broken your nose. You always did know how to roll with the punches....LMAO!
Yay! Here appears officer Joycie.....I really like her character..
Yeah and she hardly changes at all in the whole 7-year run! Except from Barry to Pringle...
''we've all got problems ....but we don't take them to work'' said Vera-is she totally deluded or what!
Vera was so much better than freak in my opinion the show became to evil with her the way she threatened lizzy was horrible
@@AnitaSharma-os4crVera had a soft spot for Lizzie.
I can't excersise as I've got a bone in my leg made me laugh out loud my dad used to say that when I was a kid haven't heard that for years.......
Love the banter between Bea and Vera, hahahahaha!
Eliza Beth They are quite funny together.
Yes Vera was not evil like freak she just liked order
Bea and Vera were the best
I do like how Vera's undermining Fletcher
So they make about 82p a day for working in the Laundry? Vera doesn't mix with criminals? She mixed with a drug dealer.
anytime someone says "I reckon", take a shot of tequila
Blimey, Lynn, can't you stay out of trouble for more than a minute?
Meg Jackson/Morris assumes that role later on as the perpetual victim
In some episodes the actress who played Monica can't stop laughing
Poor Lynn, imagine being mistaken for Monica Ferguson !
😁😁😂
Well I hope they're smart enough to look in her purse for identification. Will be looking out for that in the next episode!
@@cuccicucci4480 Nah, I doubt it. They're not the sharpest tools in the box.
I like these uniforms soooo much better then the ones they change to!
Amy Kjorlien The officers or the Prisoners you mean?
And barnhurst uniform is foul
@@izzyart6669 Both. The officers look better in grey than that olive green colour, and the prisoners look better without the awful checked shirts.
@Amy Kjorlien I do like the early days of the prison officers’ grey uniforms, light blue shirts and dark blue ties and the prisoners’ dungarees/overalls, smock dresses, yellow or green shirts with their own jumpers/sweaters and cardigans. 😃
Yes these were better but as the episodes go by you can see the colour fading from them
Doreen got on my nerve so bad when she dealt with Lynn!! Ugghhh
So Lynn goes to the pound, Lizzie would have gone to the pound had she not been so old, and Doreen...
...doesn't work in the garden anymore. Sometimes Erica is pathetic.
Exactly, Erica's the one the Department weren't happy with but it's Vera who gets demoted. Jim should have been governor with Very as Deputy.
All written in a meeemo
Vera got demoted due to her association with a criminal.
Poor Lynn everything happens to her lol ...
... only VT could put you off your lunch, lol. A quick lesson in how to clear a room in 10 seconds flat. Must try that at work!
I knew that ending was coming... poor Lynn
35:20 Gee Meg, you didn't notice anything odd in that conversation? 41:50 the tearful goodbyes. 42:50 PTSD - PTSD - PTSD! 45:55 Don't the writers think that Lynn Warner has had quite enough already? Damn, let her go back to feeding the pigs on the farm!
0:28 Ailsa Stewart from Home and Away :)
There are many people to come who did either Home and Away or Neighbours.
Ray merger who plays alf is also gonna be coming into the show soon wud name his character but he plays several 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
I love Joyce the screw...too sweet
When she slapped Joan Ferguson
Doreen needs a slap...
Lynn can't catch a break
Agrred, Lynn's bad luck is almost comical!
those ladies are gonna teach fletcher a thing or two not the other way round :P
Martha seemed alot smarter in these earlier eps.
@ Kay White: She did indeed, Kay, but she was still just as horrible.
18:30 Fred with his bit on the side right by the prison gate? How stupid is he!
Kblogg 777 right! so stupid!
Very.
After all she's experienced w her drug dealing boyfriend, Vera remains untouched by the women under her charge. What the exact reason for that is is not specified, but it perhaps should have been. Already her love affair deepened her character, revealing the vulnerability (& hypocrisy!) we suspected to be at the root of her brutal treatment of the prisoners. Trying to avenge a bad childhood? Can't they have added other aspects to her personality? We always see her as evil. One or, at most, two-sided. True, this isn't Shakespeare, but it isn't w/o value, either.
I love prisoner
Clorox Bleach Me too Bleach, me too
I love Bea and how she just mouths off to the COs without a care in the world
Btw I'm sorry but I hate Vera so far. What a miserable witch but then again shows what a great actress she is
6:00 - 😏anyone would think that Jim Flecture is working for the police🙄 the way he's carrying on in Erica's office.
Fletcher
I cried at Lynn's goodbye 😢
Vera: you got a filthy mouth Ferguson 😂
Fletch is brought in because the department thought Erica was too soft. What does she do? She continues being too soft. Doesn't she learn?
Erica is comedy gold. just that really 🐞
That's why Jim should have been Governor. If the Department thinks she's too soft it doesn't make sense to leave her in charge.
Jim needs to stop thinking he's a cop, Joyce should report him for harassment
Monnie's cleans up nice. Her outfit is so lady like.
Poor Mrs Barry she has terribly sore feet from start to finish at 692
after seeing fiona spences commentary on the dvd collection and how docile she is as a person its a testament to her ability as as actress...she is a bit of a nut in real life but noonecan disagree vera is a great character
Why does monnie say that she didn't know it was fancy dress when doreen walked in considering what she is wearing when she gets released she has no right to say a thing 😂😂😳😂😂
Lynn is so gorgeous 🫠
Is Lynn cursed or what?
Wait for the episode where she buys a lottery ticket, her numbers come up, but she's chucked the ticket away by mistake. Followed by the episode where she's walking down the street, comes across a revolver and picks it up just as the police car drives by looking for the perpetrators of the bank robbery 30 minutes earlier.....
@@stevenmcghee6649 myself ten years ago would have baulked. Poor Lynn 😭
@@Problembeing yes, a lot's happened in the last 10 years. I can now see the resemblance between Wentworth and many ordinary places of employment. We're all part of a hierarchy whether we like it or not. And Vera's as much a prisoner as Bea is.
29:38 Doreen hugging teddy after she looked in the mirror 🪞 an said ', I'll show em'! That lasted all of 3 seconds before lynn came in the cell 😂😂😂 Also 30:43 funny how bea talks to vera polite here by saying 'you don't mind if we hear this do u ms bennett?? bea can be so two faced in this series at times. I think she sometimes forgets it was ms bennett that told her she was not allowed to go to her own daughters funeral! I think its sick that the defartment wouldn't let her go!! 😡 they sound like a right bunch of 🤬B*****ds!!
I don't know how anyone could breath with all that cigarette smoke!!
I would not eat food prepared by inmates!
has lynne just got the shittest luck or what
Oh my word, what is Monnie wearing to leave prison?! Those shoes!
haynah100 right!? they are something else!
looks like they cut the cell blankets.
Why the hell are people bashing on Colette Mann? she's the actress that plays Doreen...Doreen is the character that's being obsessed and stupid.
Feeling emotional watching episode 43
18:20
How could he cheat on Monica for HER !!!???? 😱🤣
What's Lynn's middle name - Lucky?
Davo is too soft on Doreen. But she was unnecessary rough on Lynn and Karen in particular when Nolene busted up the color t.v. set.
Anybody know what the tune at the party is? It features a lot in Pris ;)
I reckon it's "MegaSeventies Groooove Daddio" by Afro and The Flares. But I'm probably wrong!
Poor lynn, she always lands in the shit!
I feel bad for Fred, the poor guy got abused by Monnie and now he's shacked up with a gold digger
LOL 36:12 Vinnie is the guy in charge of the Union that helps Joan Ferguson later on :D
The music at 26:30 aka at Monica and Lynn's farewell party, does anyone know the name of this song? it's continuously played throughout prisoner. It's a life long dream of mine to somehow sneak the track into a DJs playlist in a night club lol. Help this dream of mine happen.
Ross Lamb I’ve got an mp3 of it here

They get paroled then out the next day? Didn't think it worked that way. Thought a parole date had to be set and loads of paperwork done before they're released. That's what I've seen on real life prison shows
Night Storm remember, this was 1979, everything was easier back then.
Sometimes Erica gets on my nerves, she always wants to hear what they have to say even though their guilty as sin, punish her shes guilty, thats it. sometime she gives alittle toom much leway.
Bea makes a great shop stewart. Fletch puts them in thier place.
Erica needs to be slapped and placed into solitary; it's clear that Doreen is mental and could be a danger to Lynn, the others and herself and beyond that just screwing over someone's parole is a shitty thing to do to the inmate in question - and its undermining to the prison's authority itself and Erika just doesn't see this at all. Deputy Pornstache needs to be disciplining her and not the prisoners - and I don't mean jumping to conclusions like him & Vera ... but once the guilt party has been uncovered, actually punish them appropriately. I love how Vera doesn't see her as someone who mixed with the "criminal element" despite all she lost with George Lucas - I guess she just fools herself by saying "the Ewoks weren't that bad and Jar-Jar has his moments" to keep the façade. Fuck you Deputy Pornstache for telling Meg to MHOB - you put her in that spot of knowing your business by not seeing the wife when she was there.
Pornstache lol he should get it on with davo
I would hate Doreen with the heat of a thousand suns!!!!
Fletch, though he does have some good traits (which are more apparent later on) is so homophobic it's almost off the charts.
Sheesh Lynn poor kid can't get a break
They're WAY TOO EASY on Doreen here!!! She could have destroyed Lynn's life mucking up her parole like that!!! I'm Team Fletch on this one. Wtf
Kayer713 Same
I agree.
How much Vaseline does Monnies husband have in his hair? He looks.lime Alfalfa from The Little Rascal's, but without the cows lick.
He's an unattractive little man in every way. I mean a pinkish suit with a yellow shirt?
During her meeting with Fred, I noticed Monica was wearing a watch. I thought valuables were surrendered for safety as soon as the convicts were inducted.
They often arrive wearing pearls. Makes me laugh
redhairkid yup she sure is! they missed that one!
That rule comes and goes as the plot dictates. Watch how Monica can visit Joyce which may or may not also be a rule.
@ Markxxx: They do have a rule saying ex prisoners can't visit but I've seen it happen with others.
Lizzie wore her wedding ring but that was because Sheila Florance refused to remove it as it was her own.
redhairkid ur allowed a plain gold band in prison... all other jewellery tis taken off u... u can wear a watch but only one bought from the prison that meets prison standards... in sayin that tho... this tis a tv show n just meant to b enjoyed
Joyce Barry
First ever scene in the staff room?
poor Doreen, this episode had me crying too.
Screw Doreen she nearly destroyed Lynn's life even more with that stunt!
Vera complaining about someone else having a bed attitude
8:14
Vera is made up when Bea calls her sharp 😂
Lynn is fighting back.
vera..she'll be back. Karen "i think she'll make it... was veras smirk as if to say .. "u culd be right"
Meg’s haircut! 😄💇♀️
It's the famous Dorothy Hamill wedge! Many girls I knew in school during the mid to late 1970s cut their hair that way. Not a flattering cut...unless you're Dorothy Hamill! 😄
I had a cut like that in primary school.
@@MoonOverYou So did my younger sister.
