I know right. He's a badass next to Eisenhower.

no Eisenhower is 3rd to Douglas. In the European theater of war Eisenhower is the 5 Star General supported by many Allied generals and men of other nations; and the war is mostly land based war. In the Pacific War, Douglas is the 5 Star general supported by Admiral Nimitz. maybe there are some Australians , new Zealanders, and British generals but I read and heard none. the Allied force in the Pacific war is american dominated in terms of officers and men; and the war is mostly leap frogging from one island nation to another island nation which are all very far from each other.

Funny that I know whom was an old owner of that pipe, Douglas MacArthur gave it to my History teacher's Great Uncle whom was in an island and fought off Japanese with his spade and stole the Japanese guns and got into gun hell, even got a letter from Douglas MacArthur, quite interesting story.

Correct me if I'm wrong but do ray ban lenses fade over time? Most of the pictures of Gen. McArthur back then were in black and white that is why the color of his sunglasses were really dark. I think he uses the classic G-15 lenses way back then. the present color of his ray ban lenses based on this video is now light green. Can this happen?

Chubby Luna ; We need a RayBan designer or a rep that actually knows its history and the effects of time on there glasses.
Now, I want to know. I have to know as well. Curiosity.

BigBrownMaleNativeAmerican Agree. But it seems no ray ban designer or rep has seen this video. Besides, nowadays ray bans are no longer made in the USA but in Italy since 1991. I had a vintage early 80's ray ban with g-15 lens that is still US made and I would say the present g-15 lenses made by the Italian manufacturer is different from the US made. The US made is simply more thick and more tough. I bought an italian made ray ban with g-15 lenses and accidentally dropped it. To my dismay, the lenses broke. My vintage ray bans underwent a lot of abuse through the years including dropping it on pavement but the lenses are still in tip top shape. The only damage it has to the lens are a few scratches. No wonder, the new ray bans no longer bears "impact resistant lenses" below the ray ban logo of their cases. The US made did have it.

Find out why the general and the United States did not prosecute Hirohito and others for war crimes.

To ensure the occupation of Japan went as smoothly as possible while there was the threat of communism looming across China.

maybe they thought that they would have USN; USMC; USAF and Army bases in Japan though to 2017 and basically forever.
