Hi Jamie, I am from Czech republic so I can give your some additional insight from Vladimir Šulc about upcoming 1:48 releases form EDUARD (he share it from time to time with us on the CZ forum). P-40 series will start with E model, followed with all the variants alphabetically until L (so far not mentioned M/N though) and finally Eduard is going to release P-40 B/C and its British variants. So it looks like a pretty long run 🙂 As for the other planned 1:48 by EDURAD, Avia S-199 is announced (similar release schedule as was with it's 1:72 little brother) and then Mustang P-51 B/C. Cheers, Pavel.

I wish they'd do the desert B/C first! It'll save me riveting the Airfix kit!

@@thescalemodellingcafe I guess the first P-40 will be released soon (may be at the end of 2023 or at the beginning of 2024) so we can hope to see Tomahawks in a foreseeable future of one and half year or so. IMHO it deserves to wait for it (AIRFIX kit is not bad but EDUARD's P-40s are surely going to be the top-notch kits).

Hi Jamie, I have to correct my info a little bit according to Vladimir Sulc's notice on the forum Yesterday about EDUARD 1:48 releases: P-51B is going to be released first and then P-40. Schedule for P-51 is in the middle of 2024. BTW A6M5 Zero si going to be released before the end of 2023.

A packed update this one. The main point of interest for me was your announcement of planning to do edited highlights build videos. Whether it's worth you doing this depends on how much extra work you need to put in. For me personally they would be a valuable tool as a lot of your build projects while not being of immediate interest usually stir some curiosity to the point of giving it a go at a later date. I might not want to watch a full series of build videos now but the edited highlights will allow me to get an overall feel for what's involved and what the final result will be. I can then go back to the full build thread when ready. Unrelated to this weeks show I remember a certain Mr Flory recommending your book when I was considering getting back into the hobby and have noticed Amazon have it for a good price so I'm going to give it a go and I'll let you know how I find it. Great show, picked up a lot of new info.

Great update as usual, I quite enjoy your ramblings. LFD are also working on an early high back Mustang too for the Revell 32nd kit which I'm really looking forward to. A Malcom hood version would be brilliant!

The 109 looks cool. More like 1/48 scale than 1/72. Looking forward to you building the Hawk.

Really like these limited combo kits from Eduard but I do miss their Royal Class kits. I still have some of their early WWI kits and they have come a long way.

Your 109 looks amazing. We are in much need of a new 1/48th P-40F/L since Hasegawa ignored it, so it would be nice if that's what Eduard would start with. Also hope they do a short tailed K as the Hasegawa one didn't seem to be around long and became very hard to get hold of.

Does anyone do correct landing gear struts for 1/48 109, I know the strut can be cut? Can't wait for the 1/72 109's to get to the US.
