Great story! Are you able to make an update video? I recently found another sister I share a father with on Ancestry DNA. I found out that my mom had an affair, and my dad is not my biological father. It was really hard to accept after 40 years, but it was worth it to know my other sister.
I found my dad's two half sisters. My grandmother had a daughter that she gave up when she was very young, and my grandpa messed around and cheated on my grandma having a daughter with another woman. Unfortunately, I found out a few weeks ago that my aunt passed away if brain cancer. I was literally so excited to have found "new" aunt's. More excited than my dad.
I would love to hear your perspective and how you guys progressed. You’ve described exactly the same situation I am in, only my dad has passed. And unlike the garment up above, indicating “liar“… Not all stories are the same and I’m sorry for whatever experience he had, but it is not the same. I would love to know how you share your life with someone, memories that they weren’t in, but should’ve been in… and letting them know how much they would’ve been loved, and are loved, while honoring their feelings. Especially if they felt like their dad knew them but didn’t want them their whole life… which I know is not the case, but want to honor both of them in relaying that 😢
I am so happy for you that you meet your sister and that you have extra family hopefully it stays and you 2 become like friends even closer after time you spend together.
Dad is lying. Heard this story so many times, it’s the only way to look good in the situation when you did not step up and abandoned your child. Glad you found her though.
Even though your sister may have never been there would you have a relationship sisterhood together and does she care for me I have 1 half sister but she does not care about me at all that I call her all the time she never calls me at all .
