I am an owner of a Multivan in the long wheel base version. This vehicle and it's HUGE price tag makes sense in one circumstance and one circumstance only. And that is if you are a person who wants both a van and a SUV or people carrier. You are a person who needs the capability to remove the seats and use it as a van from time to time. Yeah you can do that with a standard transporter van but the Multivan makes life easy. If you have no occasional need for a van, you have no need for this vehicle. Get the SUV or people carrier instead. And because of this quite specific use case it is best suited to, the short wheel base is pointless. If you need this vehicle then you absolutely need the long wheel base version.
lol. not really mate. my family averages 6'2 and one suv cannot carry all of us. normal version ia good enough, no need that long. you cant represent the world
@@unclevalley2 I have this van. The long one - the wheelbase doesn’t change either way. The long one has a decent space behind the third row but not big. The shorter one is completely pointless. If you ever have 6 or 6 passengers, then even if each one has a tiny amount of luggage you will want the longer version.
We’ve two toddlers, two collies and often transport family - the LWB version is perfect as it still has a huge boot space that’s hard to get in any other car with all seats in use. In the end we just couldn’t justify the nearly £70k cost - it’s unjustifiably expensive for what it is.
@tim I have question on panorama roof without sun shade - isn’t that uncomfortable to sit straight under mid day sun in summer or getting particularly warm inside ?
Its good for people running a business who need to do deliveries and still want a suv to drive there family around on long road trips and very fuel efficient in the city. Its a win win who wouldn't buy this
Hi, really good enjoyable review. I would like to mention that the seat configuration can be adjusted to maximise rear space. For example if you slide the table console right to the front cabin and remove the armrests on the middle chairs the middle rear seat can slide into the middle making three seats across. This will make a larger boot space. If you only carrying two passengers that middle seat with the cup holders on the back of the seat can fold over. Then the rear two seats can be pushed forward and folded over making the boot space much bigger or as you mentioned can be removed all together if you have somewhere to store them. This is such a versatile and far more practical seven seat option than a Q7 or XC90 although not as refined or stylish. I agree that it is an expensive option but for ultimate space and to carry 7 adults or 5 taller children/teenagers in the back. Is there a better more affordable option on the market than does what the Multivan does? I’m not so sure!
I think you were wrong about the middle row of seats turning round; the model you had didn’t look like the conference pack; the seatbelts need to be integrated into the seats for them to be reversible. That didn’t appear to be the case.
It seems rather exciting, but I think I'd rather have something else for the price point. Excellent review as always. Did you happen to drive it buy the farm with the cows? What was their opinion?
Nice review. It looks fantastic. The biggest con of this thing..... the Ford Ranger Raptor exists. And that is massively cool! And massive. And it'll go farther than the 10k hardtail thats just about to be nicked from the bed.
Take the kids to France from campsite to campsite, jeeesh you must hate yourself. Stay at home and stick forks in your knees, be less painful. As for the 65k slightly rattly not particularly refined van, hmm buy a berlingo let the kids destroy it then get something better ready for when they leave 🎉
70k for a van....? Are you for real? It looks like a dog. Please dismiss it for the price alone. What's going on at VW? You are crazy for even giving it time....
Get on the configurator Timothy
You can opt out seats 5 6 7 and plenty of other sear options
Fab review 👍

The long wheel base version, do you mean the overhang that makes it longer at the back or something else?

I want the 20 meter version.

Yes I was surprised to see him removing it. A swivel seat can rotate 180° without removing them.
Sad that the PHEV is still not available on the configurator. :(
I wish my Vito was hybrid like this 2 litre 22 around town 34 on a run but lots of boot space in mine can't have it all unfortunately
How does it compare to the Kia Carnival?

Interesting, but as you said, a lot of money for transporting the family…
Great review…
👍👍👍
Before anyone else points it out… I made a mistake

Tim, you are just missing your mum-in-laws old Jazz - own up :)
69k - is a joke for normal folk Tim !!
can it be 8 seaters tho?
Please be aware: it is not a successor for the T6. It is only a successor for the Sharan.
Disappointing
Hi Tim, my question, is it better than a V300 AMG line?
Are you serious?
@@seyhmusozen6047 It's extreme noisy
It can be 8 set or not ?
Technically yes, legally not so much
Bit expensive for a shag wagon. It doesn't even come with optional curtains!
Good nonsense. Looked at one of these to replace my T6. I didn’t. Glad to hear the return of the Hardon Kardon! 🤪
Tim, how tall are you? You just barely fit under the boot lid/door when it's open. I'm 187 and so tired of hitting my head on the Sharan's boot.
Hey Chris I'm 6'3" which is 190.5cm :)
Definitely the best car on the market currently (normal Version tested and driven)
this is almost like the id. buzz's i.c.e. counterpart
Computer says no ❗️😌

Silly money vw fan boys will be dribbling

Citroën made this in 2006 Citroën Picasso 7 seats bether price
It is neither a horse nor a donkey! Did VW struggle a lot to get such a stupid car?
👎
instead of showing yourself maybe u should focus on car u reviewing
And deny people my immaculate physique? Unlikely
