They are close but WN is just a bit better in gloss and more vivid colour. I’ll be getting WN. Thankyou so much for all your effort that has benefitted me so much.
Can you do a painting comparison with the kind of sealers you brush on instead of spray on? Do the brush on ones need to be done outside also?.. or can they be brushed on indoors? Thank you for your time to answer this!
Very new to varnishes and love the information you have shared!!! Thank you very much and going to be going with the Winsor & Newton!! Also love all of your paintings.
Just the information I was looking for. I was using a clear sealer I had to paint on and it just wasn't working right. Beautiful work. That one that looks blue and red on the bottom right is awesome!! I also really love the black/red/orange one. Love how the black kind of snaked through the color.

Sold at Michaels (Canada) for about $16. It is also non-yellowing. Golden makes one as well, but it’s twice as much as the Winsor Newton, but hey, only HALF the price of the Minwax. Goin” broke here …
Awesome video! Do you ever feel like the gloss causes it to be harder to see the painting when light hits it? It's like the light hits the clear and you can barely see through it. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Since this was 3yrs ago did you find a new favorite over the WN?

Thanks for this video❣️ what is the lightfastness of the WN? Did the strong odor from the WN disappear once it was dry or do the finished paintings still have a slight smell?
I'm not sure on the light fastness of the sealer is that something that would be on the can or something that I would have to test out? I just started using this dealer about a month ago. I checked some of the paintings today and they still had a slight odor but you had to hold them up to your nose to smell it. I keep them stored on a shelf with parchment paper in between each painting. So they're not in an open area, that could be the cause of them still having a slight odor. 🦒
Thank you for your reply! The light fastness would be located on the can if covers that. If it contains light fastness protection, this is to keep the colors from fading when paintings are displayed in rooms with sunlight for extended periods of time (years probably).
I honestly would be making a wild guess. I really have no idea. Maybe 25??? (Please don't hold me to that number) I'll grab a can this weekend and test it out and get you a more accurate number soon(ish). 🦒
You did not try the Krylon triple thick Crystal Clear glaze. The key word here is glaze. If you want shiny and a deep coat quickly, also fast drying, small odor, you might consider this other gloss. They have a number on the bottle and it is 0500. I find that does color doesn't seem to Yellow after a while.
I just tried KRYLON Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze 0500 two days ago and it definitely gave my paintings a shine, I have to tell you that the smell was more than I could handle. I'm glad I sprayed my paintings outside or I never would have been able to withstand the odor. BUT it did a great job of sealing my paintings.

@@TheCharmingGiraffe I watched your video's I'm doing it right. lol I figured out what the issues were, FINALLY! I did a few that weren't double poured and my finishes with all the product I have used before worked perfectly. I have no idea what to do with those I re-poured since they are slick and smooth. If I sand it it will damage the paint so maybe I will have to use resin? All I can do at this point is try it. THANK YOU for your help.
I've never tried that so I just be speculating but I think it would work ok. I definitely recommend testing it on a sample piece before putting it on your final product.
Would I be able to spray on a print that I would keep rolled up in storage more often than it would be unrolled? My concern is that the finish would crack.
I've never used the sealers that way. That would be my concern to. I would say test it on similar material and roll and unroll it and see how it goes. Treat the test piece the same way you would the real pieces.

It seems if you repour a canvas it becomes very slick, the finishes can't stick well to it.
@@dianavestal850 you're welcome, I'm so happy you figured it out! Thank you for letting me know. 🦒🥳
@@TheCharmingGiraffe :) thank you
Do you have a recommendation for sealing acrylic paint on wood?
I haven't done that yet so my recommendations would be guesses. I'm sorry. 🦒
Do you think the Winsor and Newton would set clear on a window to seal a design or would it leave a film/speckle effect?
I've never tried that so I just be speculating but I think it would work ok. I definitely recommend testing it on a sample piece before putting it on your final product.
Windsor and Newton has the best gloss.
100% agree!!! 🖌️🎨🦒
What is the price of krylon spray?
Hi! There are links in the description for each of the sealers! 🙂🖌️🦒
This must have cost you a lot. To me they all look the same. Im looking for a spray with a resin finish. Is there such a thing?
I haven't found a spray that gives a finish like that yet 🎨🦒
How many layers did you do
There's a video on each of these and how I applied it. Here's the link to the playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLnKAtkI0BDEgJpYP6Eb93qmzqKjD675lr.html
I think most are 4 layers but the last one may have just been 2. 🦒
Jetliner color is shinier
I do not see your etsy link
My paintings aren't listed on etsy any more but they are still for sell. Here's a UA-cam video of most of them ua-cam.com/video/8POfR8Sn5A0/v-deo.html
Color max wins
Do you use resin as a medium?
Yes I do. My studio isn't heated so I can do much during the winter. 🦒
Why don't you compare apples to apples try to compare to the same color paintings
That is exactly what I did here. A cool color painting, a warm colors painting and a painting with white negative space and light colors. Acrylic pour painting is abstract and no 2 paintings will be identical.
I would never put a sheen like that,
on my Paintings...I like the Matte
myself.. The ones you have are way too shinny!! Makes the Art
look cheap..
