You have the dates wrong. 1653 is when Mar Thoma Ist was elected to Episcopacy. He was confirmed and enthroned as Bishop by Mor Gregorious Jaleel the Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Jerusalem in 1665. Mar Thoma IInd was ordained in 1670. Mar Thoma IInd was also ordained by Mor Gregorious the Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Jerusalem. Mar Thoma IIIrd was ordained in 1686 and he was ordained by Mor Ivanios Hidayathulla , the Syriac Orthodox Bishop.
