I was working on some other videos, but after coming back from the week away, I decided to put together something from scratch instead of trying to pick back up something in progress.

Yup, then head straight to the Balmora temple alchemy guy and purchase all of his Marshmerrow and Wickwheat. Make a shit ton of health potions, sell them back to him. Rinse and repeat. Game broken in the first big town.

Very first time playing the game, first time I slept in balmora after joining the fighers guild one of them attacked me and got stuck in the bunk bed, and after 20 minutes of spamming mouse 1 I managed to kill him, sold the armor and the ebony dart and got a full set of bonemold and the demon spear that lasted me until level 16 or so

except they arent holding an ebony dart. they have a silver knife, their armor, and sometimes some skooma/moon sugar.
@@FingerinUrDaughter they throw the silver dart almost immediately when they begin combat so the only way to get it is to kill them before they have a chance to, or for them to get stuck in something like a bunk bed and not be able to throw it. But they have one, this is a well known fact and you can google it in like 5 seconds man it's not that hard

@@averagehutaolover7640 Well, the Xbox version of Morrowind delayed the Tribunal DLC until you reached level 5, and *then* you got jumped by the brotherhood and get the ability to begin the DLC. So while it's not quite accurate to say that it's end-game, we can at least say that it's a bit into the game, say, doing Vivec City shenanigans for Caius before getting jumped. There was an intended delay that just never got implemented on PC.

Now that I think about it, Morrowind gave the “Tamriel is actually hell” theme found in Doom games… or RuneScape because they’re trying to kill you. Oblivion was all adventure DnD heavy. Skyrim is all lonesome exploration chosen one stuff, is nowhere as hectic as the previous games and you’re the one seeking trouble.

I agree on every concept except Skyrim. Travelling by road, I've had thirteen attempts on my life by the dark brotherhood and I was constantly mugged until I joined the thieves guild. When you choose to travel the whole game by foot without fast travel, the game has a fun time diddling with you to keep you on your toes.
Each game has its strengths.
Games have generally two approaches to DLC.
The Bethesda method: Right in your face from day one, they literally come to you and force a quest start.
The Dark souls method: DLC? Dunno what you're talking about. Oh sure, you installed something....now go find the obscure thing you need to do to activate it!
I was in the tutorial dungeon in Seyda Neen. After barely killing all the bandits I opened gate for the slave room. One of those assassin fuckers was in there, runs at me and kills me with one slash. Coolest moment of that playthrough.

They're great for getting your armour and restoration skills up, though, if they spawn indoors. Let them knock the shit out of you until your magicka runs out; leave the building, rest up, go back, repeat. Always kills me to imagine them just standing inside some random person's house, tapping their foot, wondering where you've gone and when you'll be back so they can finish assassinating you.
Actually did lose to these blokes once, because I had a wizard character and had the default firetouch spell. It was at that moment I knew, I f*ed up .

@@KirtisPrintsStuff had one these guys come up on me in the first cave outside Seyda Neen, I was waiting to recharge my magicka. Luckily he spawned inside the cell with the slaves that I hadn’t unlocked.
I had fireball and waterwalking, was throwing fire at the guy for a good while while he swam after me.

Yeah this spooked me when I first played the game...then the assassin got stuck in a door and I beat him to death and got powerful armor for the early game.
I remember I got a jumpscare as a kid when I first got the assassin while sleeping during my first playthrough

Ruin the game? I always juggle wares with merchants for everything to maximize my profits, so these guys never really changed how the game played for me, it's easy to get rich as it is.

I think the whole reason for the moon is that it is not moving anymore, so the slight tremor definitely spells doom for Vivec City.
This was filmed during 4E 5, a year where nothing bad ever happened.
That sheet really breaks the game, even if you are making a heavy armor build like i did you can sell the brotherhood armor for a FAT cash, who'd think killing and selling your atempted murderer's equipment would be more profiting than literal drug traffic

Eventually, my brother told me I’m supposed to sleep to heal. So the next time I played, I went to bed. I hadn’t fought literally anything up until this point lol I was just vibing in this cute little swamp town.
Then I woke up and this scary voiced bad guy in all monster black starts poking me with a sword!
I ran out of my room crying and forgot to pause the game and I died 😂

Haha first time I played this I went in the cave right outside Seyda Neen and got all beat up. Went outside the cave to rest and got ambushed by assassin and rats. Kicked my ass.

Just play the original, it's a little weird by modern standards, but if you can get used to its eccentricities, it's a fun game. A very broken game, but that's part of the fun.
As for the meme referenced in this video, one of the DLCs has assassins randomly attack you when you sleep. If you kill them and then ask any NPC about it, they'll direction you to talk to a specific NPC, which starts the DLC questline. The problem is that there's no delay in the assassin attacks, they literally start ambushing you at level 1.
the meme in this video almost certainly won't be in skywind the same way, since it's meming on a weird quirk from the Tribunal DLC that would be really weird if they implemented it exactly the same into the "remake"
I think Skywind is gonna be awesome but there is no better day than today to get into Morrowind and learn all the memes !!

The Morag Tong attack squads in Skyrim are idiots too (after you have done the Raven Rock questlines). Spawn in my own home? I don't even need to draw my weapon, this Housecarl and my kids (with massively upgraded daggers) will slice you guys up a treat

The bastards scare me even when I know they may come. I usually sleep in Mages Guild of Balmora, I have to run around the building after each sleep to make sure there's no one hiding somewhere to jump me when I'm not ready. I swear, these guys are a F-ing screamer.

Yeah, I mentioned on the other comment (and realized now what must have happened.) Davinci was having a fit after updating and that must have been when it switched the audio channels off Stereo in the render window which I didn't notice since I put the music in and after the update I added the voice lines in.

It changes the joke. If it ends at the scream, it implies is that the assassin wins instead of the fact that it's startling initially until you kill him easily and collect your free armor/gold and pull out the Spidey strut.

The first time I got attacked by a Dark Brotherhood assassin outside Seyda Neen, I ran over to a guard hoping he would step in and help, and he said “keep moving” and walked off.

Besides weighing less and therefore giving you more weight to carry loot - what good is light armour?

@@fosty. Obviously a complete heavy armor protects more, but:
1. At the beginning of the game it's completly inefficient as you have almost no carry capacity. When you can afford it, you will have only one part of the complete armor and you have to go finding more pieces and wait to have the carry capacity to wear it.
2. Besides, the moving speed is directly proportional to the weight you carry (by the percentage of your max weight) so you will be running at lower speed than with a light armor.
And yes, a light armor protects *a lot* when you have it as a major or minor skill. Grab the armor from any Dark Brotherhood Assassin that attacks you and go find some glass armor or enchanted light armor in your adventure and you will be ok.
PS: Don't think that Heavy armor is bad, it's better in post-game and DLC's since your carry capacity will be OP at that point. But I prefer light armor, it's completely viable :)

First time this guy popped up jump scared me so bad I shot off a random spell and managed to kill the dude before he could hit me with the dart.
Try as I might I've never been able to duplicate the experience.

Ah, memories of running around the mountain near Caldera and Balmora early on in the game, being chased by a dark brotherhood member, nix hound, and cliff racer, with zero stamina.
the Dark Brotherhood armour is worth so many septims, im always grateful when their assassins pay me a visit.
First time player at level 1: goes to bed with low health, barely regains any, gets attacked, dies.
Expert player at level 1: goes to bed, stabs the attacker with a daedric longsword from the haunted manor, sells the armor to the scamp.
Truly elder player: Only sleeps in the Census & Excise office since they can't spawn there.
Ascended player: "player->sethealth 99999999"

Recently started playing morrowind and shit my pants when he rushed in. Especially when you are used to the skyrim fighting mechanics.
First play-through, survived the DB assassination attempt... Sold the armor to the smith in the Fighter's Guild in Balmora... When I finished, I saw another DB assassin and went all stabby... turns out the smith donned the assassin armor when I sold it... The guild folks killed me in mere moments...

I'm joking, you are right, I added that part after and more people search for "Morrowind DLC" than "Morrowind Expansion(s)" so while it's technically inaccurate for the time, just like Family Feud, you have to think what most people will answer, not the actual best answer.

Got attacked for the first time in the balmora fighters guild bedroom. Mans spawned in inside the bed and couldn't move so I got a set of armor and a bunch of gold for free. Farmed 2 more of them before i continued on my journey.
Played morrowind for the first time, and yeah i had Lal those items, even the hat. I don't even remember where I got the hat from, maybe a guild. That dude scared the crap outta me
You can delay the attack by sleeping in crowded rooms. It's a hit and miss strategy. Sadly.
I turn off tribunal until I've played through part of the mainland area for this very reason
