    The reaction is barely 25 minutes up, and people are already commenting without watching the reaction about the show being dum? Seriously 😒 this show is brilliant, I love their reaction and people ARE dumb

    Wade said it, the game was a recruiting tool. The games purpose was to engender sympathy for the San-Ti aliens so that the players would help them get here. Jack now knew about the aliens, but was not going to help them, so he knew too much. They had to kill him.

    Love these reactions, very few people are reacting to this at the moment. It will probably get more attention later on, most reactions I’ve seen are very positive and season 1 is only the tip of the iceberg 😬

    50:38, its not that they were unable to find another plan, they understood at the rate humans are advancining we'd rapidly surpass them. So its really more of a preempetive strike.

    Why they don't release them weekly? Well, I am not sure. "Lost", "Breaking Bad", and "The Walking Dead" where network shows; "Game of Thrones" was HBO. That might sort of explain it. The networks and HBO pre-date Netflix so are more accustomed to weekly releases. I am not sure if Netflix has ever had a show they released weekly. But you are right. It seems like Netflix is losing a great opportunity for free advertising. The "water cooler" conversations were free commercials.

    I have been told by a physicist that the syzygy of all three suns would amplify the gravitational effects of the sun(s) on the planet. Probably would not float everyone into the sky quite like that, but it would have a noticeable effect on things on the planet.

    • @MightyKingYoung
      @MightyKingYoung 2 місяці тому +2

      I would think it would cause huge landslides and tsunamis, flattening the planet into an oval shape. It might just tear the planet apart. I don't think you'd float off your patch of dirt into the air

    • @lakotagrywlf

      Close enough to the sun and it definitely would, enough that in the book when this happened even the atmosphere and anything loose on the surface was ripped from the planet. If the planet was even closer, the planet itself would simply shear apart, suddenly engulfed in a temporary increased Roche limit. It’s not just because it’s a syzygy, but because of the distances being close enough to increase the effective gravity to a certain threshold.

    Not sure why people are hating on the show, you should be able get and enjoy the main plot without understanding all the science. There's aliens that need a new home because their planet is unstable. They're coming to Earth because back in the day that girl in China contacted them and told them to come save us from ourselves. Now there are over 1,000 alien ships on their way. Not to mention a crazy virtual reality video game which is so creepy and cool at the same time. Without all the science details, sounds like an awesome show! I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see you two react to the rest!

    There is the Geocentrism time that church leads and Heliocentrism as heresy.
    The Church burns people if they are faithful to heliocentrism, right?
    So in the scene the Pop burns Jin for nonsense because the former two fellows (Aristotle and Galileo) must have a proposal that the planet is the center of the universe that fits for the Pop.
    It's just a sarcasm .

    the universe is just too big for the santi to just choose a random planet with a stable enough star system and bet their entire specie to flee on their ships. when they received the message from earth (which btw the first one only helped determined the direction of the planet and not the exact location, it wasn't until ye wengjie answer that they were truly able to pinpoint the planet....another testament of how vaste the universe is) it was just the perfect opportunity for them because 1/ the planet is stable with one sun and a good climate and 2/ it has enough life that another specie was able to develop and communicate with them. so to answer your question as to why the santi decided to come to an already populated planet...well if you lived in a three star system where any day means a possible death i think you cannot be picky about your second home lol

    I also dont think that a Syzygie would rip people into the sky. And even if, how did these Aliens evolve that far in the first place? There shouldnt be highly developed creatures in this solar system at all, it is too instable.

    • @jochen3154
      @jochen3154 2 місяці тому +3

      They exist a lot longer than humans. That's why they said they took way more time to evolve than humans. They at some point discovered the dehydrate/rehydrate method to preserve their people, so they just stop advancing during chaos eras, they didn't extinct. Eventually they evolve to where they're now.

      @@sorkaem dont spoil me, but how long can a stable phase be? 100k years? 200k?
