  • Who is JOE COLTON? Yes - we talk about the FIRST G.I. Joe character from BEFORE he was given this name, back when he was the original Action Soldier and Green Beret in the 1960s!
    From 1964 to 1994 we look at this figure. From his days as the military era movable fighting man to today's Real American Hero. Ken is joined by Dom from Toy Domination for this history lesson!

    Joe Colton is in my top 10 ARAH era iconic figures. Very under-rated by those who weren't raised on the original 12" figures. Great spotlight figure for sure!

    I somehow missed during the Hama years this connection between Colton & the original GI Joe. Very nice. Thank you!

    Please don't remind me the devils due run exists, in that series Joe Coulton is a massive sexist! Devils Due publishing please, rot in hell, pun intended!!

    • @ToyKennections

      Which part was he sexist?

    • @jakeproven256
      @jakeproven256 9 місяців тому

      @@ToyKennections Issue 34 of the regular series from devils due series, where he cashually admits "he thinks women should stay in the kitchen!" When I read that I thought I was going to puke. There is litterly no reason storywise for him to say this, it's not done to show he's flawed and needs to learn, no! Let me tell ya something, when a writer has protagonists in their comics cashually being sexist, it means that writer has no ideas, they are creativley bankrupt!! And the word "creativley bankrupt" is the phrase I would use to describe the Devils Due G.I.Joe run!

    • @ToyKennections
      @ToyKennections  9 місяців тому

      @@jakeproven256 i'll have to find that issue again but i remember the standout from the run being the handling of the Duke character having a Black Ops background added in the years before GI Joe's reformation, which I thought was really neat.
