- "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller
Listen to Glenn Miller: GlennMiller.ln...
Chorus:
In the mood, that's what he told me
In the mood, and when he told me
In the mood, my heart was skippin'
It didn't take me long to say "I'm in the mood now"
In the mood for all his kissin'
In the mood his crazy lovin'
In the mood what I was missin'
It didn't take me long to say "I'm in the mood now"

The greatest 1940's song ever! One does not think of the 1940's and not think of this classic tune!
Take a listen to Take the “A” Train by duke Ellington. Another 1940’s masterpiece
This is a certified hood classic
@@siluss - glenn miller intensifies -
Tbh sing sing sing is that one for me. Take the a train is up there too
I am so confused when I look it up it says released 1969? This is the epitome of the 40’s.
This was one of my great-grandpa's favorite songs. He was the most sweetest and most humble man I ever knew. He fought in WWII and liberated the Nazi concentration camp known as Wobbelein. He loved me so much and I love him so much. R.I.P. Robert Anderson 1926-2017
R.I.P Robert Anderson 1926-2017
respect your great grandfather
Your great-grandfather was truly a hero. May he Rest In Peace. ❤️
RIP Robert Anderson 1926-2017. assisted in liberating a concentration camp when he was just a kid himself
Thank you for letting me hear this happy and wonderful music 🎶 every day.
That Fallout show really introduced me to some BANGERS
I've heard this song before, but fallout makes me like it now. Sometimes I think they put some kind of witchcraft in this franchise to make me start liking things I didn't even care about.
dude. It’s in the mood. How was it not crammed down your throat when your school forced your class to learn to swing dance.
Unless that’s just not a universal experience, then that’s understandable
In the mood constantly was he?
I heard this song from Fallout four. I'm glad the movie brought people into fallout. Then I can spam them with enclave propaganda.
@@M4zvoltz851before I never liked Elton Britt but now his song uranium fever is my top song
My great grandfather, born in 1895, was already an old F4RT when this came out. He lived to be 106. He said, “It is sacrilege to employ brass instruments in such a manner. They are meant solely for classical music.” R.I.P. Great Grandpa Sam! Glad I got to know you!
Ironically, music like this made me realize brass instruments weren’t boring
It is INSANE that he was born in 1895 and lived to be 106. He only died like 20 years ago!!!
This song is so much better than the music nowadays!
This is a certified hood classic
How is this a Hood Classic? This song has been tarnished by tik tok,it was a song that was Conducted by Major General Anton Glenn Miller my guy!😂😂 I know what you mean though about it being a hood classic because obviously you’ve seen it used in Tik Tok songs before
Actually his first name is Alton not Anton😂
Certified hood classic indeed.
@Inferno 32 because millennials are their parents and let them do anything because "my littles/kiddosssssssssssss are totes lit fleek perfect and never do anything not woke"
@@willweisenfeld1369 because it is a hood classic, it was certified as such
sorry you can't understand this old man
It's a shame we lost Glenn Miller so young. Who knows how many more American classics he could've made? So many bangers lost to time, R.I.P. the legendary Glenn Miller❤️
Nah these ain't american classics bro these are world classics.
Bro, Glenn Miller was an American icon - we gave this (like everything else) to the world!
@@neilcarter77 y'all call people like rick astley and queen world classics when they came from the UK.
So yeah they are world classics. Every country contributes to world music. They don't belong to any particular country, trust me if you want to make every country only have music from their own country and not able to listen to music from other countries most the music you listen to every day would be gone.
@@neilcarter77”everything else” 😂😂😂 yea right.

Questa è musica e la musica se ne infischia del tempo
This is the best version. I have it on an old LP: which my father bought for me on my 10th birthday in 1954.
What a cute memory
Woah. You are living long and prospering. Amen to that.
wow your tenth birthday is the same year that the original gojira movie was released😮😮😮
I wish I had the song on LP
It’s priceless !
I can imagine myself flying a B-17, B-24, B-29, P-40, P-51, P-47, F6F, F4U, A-26, B-26, and all the other warbirds that helped win the war with this playing over the radio.
"Thank You" Mr. Miller for some OUTSTANDING music...
Always have the same thought when listening to it.

If this doesn't set your foot to tapping and urges you to get up and boogie, you have a hole in your soul.
sadly my great grandfather is in the hospital for heart issues and this is his favorite song
I can see why this is his favorite! I’m sorry, wishing him the best.
Hoping for the best. But when his time comes, you have to push for this song to be played at his funeral ❤️🙂
Is your grandpa ok?
This is a very good quality recording! Cleaned up, no scratchy needle on vinyl sound. Limited bass response but that is the quality of the technology of that era. My dad loved Glenn Miller and I have acquired his taste for it and many other Big Bands of the 1940s
obviously, you don't know the joys of vinyl.
I have a CD with a recording of this tune and I thank God everyday for the scratchy needle sound of it.
Honesty the scratchy needle sound is integral to it.

Good to read all the wonderful comments …and to read how many of the great generation loved into the 90’s and above..life and community were so worthy back then
Honestly, I'm here from Fallout lmfao
i found the version without the added echo...perfect
Raised by my grandparents this music brings back the best memories for me ❤
Same thing for me except it was my mom that got hooked on Glenn
Released in September 1939...spent 13 weeks at #1 in 1940...a CLASSIC!!!
How could we live without this
I'm an unrepentant 66 year old hippie, but I love the music of Glen Miller and Benny Goodman. God bless the Greatest Generation!
@williamdonnelly224 Hey Boomer, you’re not special for liking this nor am I (Gen X). Good music is enjoyed by ALL generations.
@@stanford-nf4jkThat’s not what he was implying.
I LOVE GLENN MILLER AND BENNY GOODMAN!!! ❤
Masterpiece! One of the world’s most famous swing dance. This never gets old.
One of the saddest things about this song is that the popularity and the famous name of “Glenn Miller” is fading away from being known. I am the only one in my school who evens knows Glenn Miller, besides from my teachers.
May this era of music continue to remain and be enjoyed for years to come. From one Glenn Miller fan to any one else reading this, please continue to love and cherish this music so it can remain relevant!
I will play this until the day I die
Same here! This is what I call real music!
r/im14andthisisdeep
Yeah,I tried to make this deep so we can keep this legend legacy alive!
We must be the ones to carry on the torch, the memory of Glenn Miller and many other musical artists such as him.
80 years later and still a bop 🤌

Imagine making such a banger people listen to it 200 years after the earth was blasted to shreds
This is great song from a time of great hardship. To come out of the great depression as a young person to then be thrust into the horrors of total warfare is almost incomprehensible.
A brilliant song that still holds up in this day and age.
I have a certain type of respect when it comes to older music because it was mainly pure talent with actual instruments being used now today all it’s about is auto tune
Come back to me once youve learned how to make music on a professional level and then you can spit your crap opinion. 💀
Producing music still takes time and effort. It is an art form after all.

🗣️***GRAND CLASSIC***🎷🎺🎹🥁BIG BAND YEARS 🥁🎹🎺🎷🎙️😁😉
Was introduced to this classic in college back in the fall of 1974. Our jazz band, which I played lead trumpet in, toured the islands (Hawaii) playing this song at local high schools. The kids loved it! Want to thank the late, great Dr. Richard " Cat " Ballou, our music director at BYU-HAWAII campus for his guidance and support through those years. Deeply appreciated his efforts in making that program prolific! R.I.P. Mr. B.

I would love this played at my wedding.. it’s timeless. My partner and I share a fascination for all kinds of music and WW2. My grandparents (grandpa especially) were involved in the horrors of nazi occupation and this was one of my grandpas favourite records. It’s in honor of them ❤
I was born in July 1996, and I move to this song( 1943?).
This is the song my grandfather used to listen to when he was a young boy back in the 1930s
