This is the best financial series on UA-cam bar none. It's quite refreshing to see a balanced, nuanced, approach to investing and spending instead of the typical hyperbolic sensationalist tripe that has inundated the space. Kudos from across the pond. Take a bow, good sir!

It’s like improv/comedy. If he “yes, and’s” the heckler, he looks like the good guy, relatively speaking, and on an emotional level, the heckler has no impact on who will buy or not.
They're coming to Dubai... Literally a year ago, before I had ever seen your channel I would have been so excited. Now it's just pitiful.. So glad I've come across your channel, you really expose these things for what they truly are. An expensive, wasteful sales pitch.
There’s been a part of me thinking “I’m growing my business, I would benefit from some guidance, I need to be more open minded about these events as I could learn something” balanced against the other part of me thinking “it’s all bollox”.

Nah these events are as good as UA-cam videos, only difference is you are using your money to pay for those events when you can use that money for your own business/investments
Don’t give up on the business idea...just go to friends who you know run successful businesses and ask them who they go to for advice...then go to those people!!

This is amazing content , I was gutted I didn't end up going to this because I couldn't justify paying for it .... So glad I didn't go now , they make you feel like you going to "miss out" how focking stupid am I 😂😂
Amazing Video🙌🏼😂 Day 1 of the event was hell - minus Russell Brand. I actually think he was my favourite speaker of the entire event, just because of how he engaged with the audience & took the complete piss. I fell asleep during the sales pitches on Day 1 across three chairs and had the best nap in a while. Day 2 we managed to get a schedule and didn’t show up until before Tai Lopez. He wasn’t the worst- again liked him interacting with the audience. I didn’t like Grant Cardone. My friends and I couldn’t stop laughing at some 10X points. Gary was good, but nothing I hadn’t heard before! 😂 this video is the highlight though hahah

For events I tell people especially if they don’t have the money to definitely volunteer so you can see if you like the style of certain speakers and culture and community of the events.
A reason to go to events (read the book Conference Crushing) is in many cases more about the culture and community for networking purposes.
The ticket price point, is in a way a vetting mechanism for finding clients who can invest in your services, and are growth centric.
Nobody gets anywhere on their own. You have to have good people in your corner and also business can be isolating and so socializing with like minded people can be good for you in terms of taking a break from your business and finding emotional support from those who share your struggles.

I'm scared, disgusted and sad because this is what I've been fighting against in the past 1.5 and is like a realization of how big the issue still is, but I'm also happy because now there's you, and other good people exposing the bad (and hopefully, replacing it with good, actually helpful and useful content/information/resources/etc).

It’s a fascinating and seedy world that you’re uncovering. I was briefly lured into the bewildering dude-bro lambo world of Clickfunnels a year or so ago and that whole scene (sales funnels, selling courses, motivational bollocks etc) is really like a cult.
Winnet, your vids & shows are awesome - especially the ironic ads that play - all contrepreneur ads (maybe that's my own algorithm working against me) - How'd you get started / interested in this work? Were you scammed or something? What's your back story here? You work in Entertainment? Anyway, best laughs ever watching your shows. Thank you very much for those!

Thank you for the reference Mike. The event was 100% worth it for me, BUT, that had nothing to do with the speakers and more to do with meeting Ian and yourself. Your review is fair and balanced and I'm glad you revised your view on Russell, he's worth giving another chance, I'm not saying buy into everything he says or does. The rubberbandits rate him and I trust blindboy boatclub with his advice.
I attended NAC 2016 before...some info were useful when you're just a complete beginner. I'm from the Philippines and it was disappointing that even though I purchased VIP tickets, it was useless. The organizers just accommodated lots of people in the venue and couldn't even provide seats for everyone.
The pitches were interesting to hear. You get to see how the speakers influence others to buy their overpriced products.
After that, I never attended again.

Thanks for the video Mike. I was wondering about Gary V. Glad you brought this up at 7:47 about your content possibly getting picked up by Netflix as long as you make him look like the good guy. Did he make that introduction? Are you still in touch with him?
Regardless, if you do get picked up by them, I bet he already has a video qued up stating "yeah, that NetFlix Docu that BLEW up on these fake Contrepreneurs exposing them!! I made that happen and I personally introduced the creator to NetFlix b/c I care about you all (insert clip of your meeting). I met with him and told him what I think he's doing is great."
I met him before and he seems like a good person. But also constricts himself a lot IMO. I really liked the video you made about meeting him. But I think sometimes our actions speak louder than our words. IF he really wanted people to stop going to this shit talks/conferences, then why not simply stop speaking & stop them from using his name and image to attract people? But I guess he loves he's 50k-100k speaking fee and the attention more??

I went to the event and I mainly agree. If you go to an event like this you should expect about 20% to be education, 40% to be a sales pitch and 40% to be entertainment.
That being said, Tai Lopez and Russell Brand were really good.
Grant and Gary were exactly the same as the any other vid of them on UA-cam. So you might aswell save the money and just watch their stuff there.
And the other speakers were just sales pitches, they were not really worth the time tbh.
Overall a 5/10
The AI robot on day one just weirded me out from the start! It was amazing how all the speakers started giving you something interesting and then threw you in a second! Why was Grant's wife even listed as a speaker? I loved the constant reinforcement throughout that as British people we are not hungry enough to achieve. Not to be repeated!
The British don't 'believe' enough. No Grant, we just think you're a bell end.

Was there, for me it was actually worth the 70 euros just because of the fact I got to see some of these legends. I respect your opinion and I totally get what you're saying though, some of the lesser known speakers especially were horrendous. However, there was quite some useful info in there too. I've never been to the UK either so that was quite a fun experience too.
Brilliant stuff. I can't get enough of this. Keep exposing those to$$ers.
I think the biggest reason why the other speakers get a bad wrap is because they are unknown. People like Gary V because he's constantly sharing content and valuable information. And then he still doesnt sell anything. The audience isn't interested in hearing pitches because the main people doing them are desperate.

Threw $60 down the drain to go hear cardone talk. His entire talk had 0 value and all he said was saving money is useless and you should invest in educating yourself. Right before kicking off his pitch for his super exclusive premium 3 day sales training course which costed $3,000 just to attend, which you could bet he’d spend half of that time selling you on his ultimate platinum VIP course for $10,000, in which he’d probably spend another 3 days advertising for his Diamond level ultra sales course for only $50,000. If you read his books half of the books are just plugs for his other books. It does my head in.

I enjoyed day 2 in the most part. High energy and fun to watch. Didn't like the hard sale bullshit and see straight through that but good to watch these guys live. Wouldn't go again though

Ironically, the event is taking place at Genting Arena, now renamed "Resorts World Arena" on December 3; sponsored by a casino group. It's all gambling, but the house always wins.
When is your TED talk?
I wasn't able to go although I live in Burning Ham, however several friends of mine did attend and to be honest all of them overall enjoyed the experience and said it was worth attending. Yes there was pitching, but they weren't put off by that. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Quick question, I sometimes see comments on videos about these events where people say stuff like "yeah, went along, was just as expected, people falling for the scams" - I am paraphrasing a bit - thing is, if people expect these things to be a shocker, why spend your money and more importantly , your time on them if you know you will wasting both ?

NAC Manila 2017 was the first, & last, Success Resources event for me. It started late, I wasn't able to see Chris Gardner speak, & most of all, the ticket price wasn't justified! The only speaker that got my attention was Andrew Matthews. His talk was entertaining, & his book that I bought was worth the money. The others just pitched their courses, half the time they were on stage.
And, what's disappointing about Success Resources is that they don't get speakers from the network marketing industry. So unfair for those in it, like me.
BTW, I think I know why Cardone didn't agree to speak on the 1st day there. His self-sponsored ego is too inflated for Day 1. Hell, The Millionaire Booklet's the only useful book he's ever wrote. I mean, 10X is self-explanatory in nature: you don't need to buy a book about it. I used to believe the guy, but when Jordan Belfort interviewed him, & he gave such BS answers, I kicked everything he stands for to the curb right there! Lost faith in Cardone instantly.
CONCLUSION: If there's an event organized by Success Resources, or headlined by Grant Cardone, don't waste your time & money for it. Put that time & money back to your own business/brand, instead. Oh BTW, great video, Mike. 😎👍🏽
