A Eulogy recited by Mulla Ali Fadhil, in honour of Qassim son of Imam Hassan's brave moments in Kerbala, Iraq, on the tragic day of Ashura.
Qassim My Dear Qassim, Today's your Day Qassim

Ramla speaks to her dearest son,
Qassim son of Imam Hsssan,
Go defend Hussein your uncle,
For the youth be a role model,
This was the will of your father,
To always protect his brother,
Qassim be strong and brave, Never ever be afraid,
Go fight in Allah's way, Today's your day Qassim.

Qassim pleads to Uncle Hussain,
Allow me to fight in your way,
This is mine and my father’s wish,
That in Islam’s path I perish,
Please master grant me permission,
So that I may gain martyrdom
Qassim with true delight, Gains permission to fight,
Hussein with tears he says, Today's your day Qassim.

Qassim bids farewell to the women,
And wears his late fathers turban,
Carrying his sword and shield,
Entering bravely to the battlefield,
Fought fiercely till his final breath,
Indeed its a sad and tragic death,
Qassim we shall forever, Your matyrdom remember,
We'll shed the tears today, Today's your day Qassim.

Qassim from you we must all learn,
Now that its our time and our turn,
To defeat your own enemy,
To be ready for our Mehdi,
To always strive and be better,
To become the best believer,
Qassim all of us youth, Follow your path of truth,
We'll cry for you today, Today's your day Qassim.
