Was Matt gigging with his band? That brings back memories that our singer would always get laryngitis after the holidays. We’d gig most nights on a bad night even two venues. So he had to get into the cold air really doing a number on him. And we’d tease him: “singers are pussies! You don’t hear us complain about blisters on our fingers. Or Richard (drummer) having muscle aches”. It would piss him off and 2 or 3 years in a row that was happening. Until he took a vocal coach. After that he never got laryngitis again. Us guitarists have it the easiest. We exert ourselves the least. Even when we’re shredding we are barely sweating 😂The heaviest thing back in the day was getting our amp in the car. These days (I wish we had them) it’s just an amp model. So two guitars and your effects case with amp model and you’re set with a backup even.
This looks great for over the phone or on zoom but in person you could easily just use marked cards. I don't know the method but I'm assuming you could repeat it multiple times on the same person and it's not just a 2 phase routine. It also seemed like there was a lot of steps where it's possible the spectator could make a mistake.
No, the central principle involved means that it will actually be surprisingly hard for the spectator to cock up. Don't worry about this. Yes, we could use marked papers or poker chips (cheap poker chips are often inherently one way marked with respect to the suit symbols on the circumference) However only one paper/poker chip needs to be marked! With a single marked variable as well as knowing the outcome of both games we can now know the identity of all three variables. Call the third contestant "The Devil". Now there is the potential for a more interesting patter as well. However the methodology with the marked variable means that the methodology is now not impromptu unless we use papers and nail mark one on the fly. (This is how i would do it with papers) This is worth buying........'Polarity' by Michael M is also great. So is 'Roll with it' a mental propless dice divination by Joel Dickinson where you know which hand a mental die is in, the material it is made of, and the value on the die. I think this is the one Craig made a vague passing reference to recently. I have improved the methodology a little on this one for myself. Anyway Hope this helps. Andy.
@@AndyMossMetta If you think about it; how often does a spectator have 3 blank cards a magician can borrow? If in reality you're providing the billets you may as well mark them. I think it's a clever routine which would work well having the cards mixed under the table and then the magician could turn their back when the cards are dealt out to rule out marked cards as the method. If I did this routine I would use marked cards as the method the first few times, but have the cards inspected beforehand by a spectator to check for marking. That combined with this as a final phase where the magician never looks at the cards I think would rule out markings as the method and make for a strong routine.
I just bought this last week. It's really really terrible, you should take down this video and nobody else should purchase it 😁 Michael is my favourite creator, and along with Rasp has produced another gem here. The poker chips you receive are a nice bonus, but I'll be sticking with the business card approach; even better if you can borrow them from a spectator.
I only now, fifteen minutes into the video, realized that "Ian 'Rasp' Cheetham" is the other person who wrote the book with Michael Murray, not a joke about Matt's voice.
And heres another lady!❤
Hey im a lady watching this channel!

Hmmm that feels VERY procedural...

I classify myself as a lady .......
