  • Building the Electric Mantis Blades from the main character of Cyberpunk 2077.
Here is every step from plan to design, print, mechanics, painting to the final build. Cyberpunk has become an icon in the gaming industry and the electrical mantis blades are my favorite between all its versions, so I decided to make a real souvenir of the game.
    Enjoy!

It is not the size of the blade what matters, its how you use it

Extremely cool. Wonder if you could mount a gearing system to allow the blades to extend further when opening? It would also increase the speed of opening, but of course, that would cause a lot more stress on the components.

Absolutely Duke! A telescopic mechanism would work great. If I were to do that, I'd increase the room between my arm and the mechanism so it has more breathing room and avoid placing too much in a minimal space. And I agree about the stress on the components. To tackle that, it would help to increase the thickness on the parts / adding ribs to make them tougher (or consider metal), have 2 levers to connect to the hand instead of 1, etc...

Glad you like them! I think it's because I only have 10 videos out + shorts. I am trying to upload more often, since that's the best way to grow, along with quality videos, of course 😄

For geometric Design I use Fusion 360, for 3D Printing I use Cura. For organic design (which I need for my next project) I am learning Blender. All of them are free! 😉
