I was absolutely blown away by this mystery box. I started collecting cards in the XY era, and the earliest pack I’ve ever opened is flash fire, so this was amazing to seeing
such an amazing opening for me, really takes me back to some of the golden eras and ages of pokémon cards, and thanks to TJ and his wife for being so generous!

One of the biggest openings I’ve seen on your channel. Really enjoyed all of these eras. I’ve gotta say that the era that started it all was my favorite. As someone who was around when Pokémon cards first came out in the US, this was the most nostalgic for me.

I’d have to say 2002 with the introduction of e-series is my favorite, especially in terms of nostalgia. What a cool blast from the past - huge thanks to TJ and his wife for curating such an awesome experience for the Poké Cave!

@@FaZe-StyL if it’s from expedition it’s probably not the “rarest”. Crystal Charizard maybe though. Zards will generally always be sought after, no matter how “rare” in relation to other cards.

Got to love all the old school stuff. I remember when Pokémon came out. I was only 7 or 8 but man playing all those games collecting I wish I was better at collecting through the entirety of the history of Pokémon.
Thought you'd appreciate a reply from a real person. I too wish I'd have poked my head into the pokemon scene more often after getting out around 2002. But I'm back now baby!

That Charmander episode was sad AF😢. The poor Charmander, crying out in the rain waiting for an owner that abandoned him. Doing everything he could to not let the fire on his tail go out. I still remember thinking as a kid I would've given a serious beat down to that trainer. It wouldn't have been a pokemon battle
The mystery box was absolutely insane! Every Era had such cool stuff in it. My favorite Era is the EX Era. Shoutout to TJ and his wife! Awesome job on putting this together!

I just got back into pokemon and so glad I did. I like many of us had a binder full of 1st editions, but we didnt know it would skyrocket to what it is now. I cry still sometimes,but so glad to be back into the hobby!!

2008-2012 was definatly my favorite year of pokemon cards because that was when i collected cards as a kid and i still own all of my cards from that time as well as all the games i had for me ds.

I honestly appreciate so much the thought, creativity, and care that went into packing this box. Such a treat to see these some of these items again and some for the first time. 👏👏👏

My favorite year of pokemon was either 98 or 99. This was an insane opening. So many amazing cards and old school mech, some I remember having or when it was released. TJ your collection is phenomenal.
This mystery box was hands down the best I've seen, what an insane collection to put together. TJ's the man, best years of this opening was of course the first generations, can't go wrong with the old school cards bringing the nostalgia

My favorite set was gym heroes, I remember when I was in elementary and my teacher would give gifts for being good in class and I remember collecting so many of those gym hero cards. My first ever Pokemon card product was the Zekrom tin from Black and White. Unfortunately all of my cards from then are lost somewhere in my storage unit. I didn't get back into it until 2018 after I got my first job and have been collecting since where all of my cards could fit into 1 and a half moving boxes.
