We've had the same tank for over 20 years. No problems and our electric bill went down after I put it in. Changed the elements after 15 years or so. Four kids and never ran out of hot water.
I remember when y'all got that tank. I can't believe it's been that long ago! Jack has definitely grown quite a bit since then😂.
This thing is a beast and so is Jack! Hahaha so happy we got it for the aquariums and pond and us and the wieners hahaha they hate baths but we have a bath video with them coming up and it’s cute as heck! Hope you guys are having an awesome weekend!!
Hi, my dear friend Dan. I have a 32 gallon water heater. It works automatically, according to a given program. In the absence of electricity, the water remains warm for a long time. The excess pressure relief valve operates automatically. When the power is turned off, the water supply is also turned off. If the supply system is destroyed by a bomb explosion, I expect the damage to be repaired. This is one or two days. I wish all the best.
that is interesting Boris.....our water still works in a power outage. Thanks for the info Boris and we hope the war can stop very soon. Our best wishes are with you as well as our donations that we also hope helps. All of our tanks and in addition to the multitude of needs around here we certainly don't need 85 gallons, but when and if we do it is there for us and especially in an outage. Our electric bill has shown improvements since we got this tank as well. Also, the water is much much hotter than our old tank and stays hot much much longer so it has to turn on way less often. It should last until we die....we hope you have a nice weekend
This water heater looks like a beast and seemed to have worked flawlessly so far. I'd capture the water that you drained and distribute it into your garden as needed. I've drained my water heaters before and really never get any sediment either.

85 gallons must be good for long showers. I just replaced one after 20 years (it burst). The replacement said the new one will last 7 to 15 if you do annual drains like you said to get the sediments out. Good primer for me to see you do it. Cheers.

It’s very nice to watch how a father passes on his knowledge to his sons and the son grows and becomes a real man right before our eyes.
That's a top job you've done there ! They have the same hot water storage system in the UK. Here in Poland there are electric storage tanks too but in the main houses have a gas fed boiler that heats water on demand. The plus side is that you dont take up any space with a tank.. but the downside is that you have to wait for the water to get hot at the tap/shower.. and if somebody else uses a tap in the house then it fusses with the water pressure and temperature ! Great that your tank is recycled plastic. The tanks I had back in the UK were made of copper and had to be lagged to keep the heat in ! Have an awesome week ahead tomorrow !

yes especially for the fish......when the power is out so are the heaters so we can add some hot water to keep them alive....some of are fish are from south America and Africa natively speaking and are not used to Cleveland hahaha

I have the marathon 40 or 50 gallon hot water heater and I do love it and I just flushed it second time in 11 years and I need to do it more often. It’s a good hot water heater never a problem.

I hate when you use the pressure relief valves because as they get older they start leaking once you pull the valve to flush the water trough it, happened to me many times, the water that came out of yours looked pretty clean I've seen some with a lot of sediment in it.

thats a seriously big heater enough for a hotel I never seen anything like this kind of heater before I googled the price 1150 $ but given the many years service it will give you its a great heater

We had a 40-gal natural gas tank in my house at new-build. With 3 people living here, it ran out all the time. A month in I bought a 50-gal and replaced it myself. Never had a problem since. They last us about 10-12 years each. I keep the heat setting on the lowest level. Still plenty hot.
