Twin Turbo V8 Chevy Vega runs 7s!

One of my favourite cars at the MDRA November Event at Hal Far Raceway was this Twin Turbo V8 powered Chevy Vega. Driven by Anthony Vella this car is a real crowd pleaser with rolling burnouts, wheels up launches and 7 second passes!

Several years ago I built a '72 Pinto woodgrain wagon for street driving and bracket racing. Carbureted 289/C4. Got bored with it and started over again. Supercharged 351W/manual C6. Runs mid nines. Enough for me. I want it to remain reliable.

That thing is super quick off the tree. I was wondering what the 60 ft. times are?

The first number on the board as it goes down the strip is its 60ft, it then changes to the 1/8th mile before going to the 1/4 mile when it crosses the line. So it’s mainly pulling low 1.2 60fts in this video
