I live in England and want to try this. Hope I can find the right type of bananas for this. I think the supermarket ones here are too sweet and ripe, but there is a market stall that I'm hoping will have the right ones.
I don’t suppose there are any viable alternatives to matoke itself is there, for those of us trying desperately to taste some of your joyous recipes in other parts of the world.
I showed you in my other matoke video, go see. But it's not complicated nor anything special: you literally just take a knife and peel off the rind then slice. Dont over think it, it's literally that easy and straight forward
What I like about her is the way she vivifies her vlogs. She is evidently vivacious and I wouldn't hesitate eating her food.....

Any tips of how to peel matoke and avoid the sap sticking on the hands?
I won't know tbh. I just peel and wash my hands later. Some people wear gloves, but I just peel na unanawa baadae
@@Kaluhiskitchen thanks, heard something about oiling hands once with mafuta ya kupika, yet to try it. The exploration continues...
I see my mum applying Vaseline or wearing gloves
Makena Makhulo rub your hands with oil
rub some cooking oil,the sap won't stick alot.

You didn't show us how you peeled your matoke. I was here for that.

A hack is, don't peel. Just make a shallow slice on the matoke. Boil then remove the cover easily .
