I have fished 100's of hours in the Kamloops area in Canada BC and I find this so interesting, I had no idea we sent the rainbow species down south so long ago. Kamloops Rainbow around here (Kamloops), a trophy would be 10-15lb. Typically fishing for big rainbow in the area is done by fly fishing in much, much smaller lakes, at like 5-60ft depth, that's where I caught my personal biggest at 8-10lb. Running down riggers like you guys are, would be what we would use to target kokanee, lake trout, and other species other than rainbow. Lake trout is the only thing we see in the Kamloops BC area that could maybe reach 20-30lb if you're not counting the salmon run. Super cool you guys have our native trout species and they are thriving like that.
Thanks for the heads up. Lots of difficult names to spell in that part of the country. I actually copied and pasted off the web so I guess I'm not the first one to misspell it. Thanks for watching!
Lets gooooo Fins and Feathers!!!

bucketlist fish, have never managed to get a big kamloops but will some day.
Looking forward to getting up there at some point and trying my hand at it.
That's a really long leader for those Koke's. We run half that length at Dworshak.
Any caught a big Kamloops at Pend Orielle?
Two Dodgers back-to-back?! 🤯
Yep , I caught a 18 lb 33 inches long
Great video showing a different way to catch Kam's, And you spelled Pend Oreille wrong...
