Great demonstration video. The sandbag and hammer would've been very helpful back when I was restoring my VW. Btw - I like how Joe is able to laugh at himself a bit with the stuck glove on the English wheel. Better the glove then the thumb!
What gauge metal? Cutting with a snips it can’t be that thick, so realistically, it wouldn’t survive on a real motorcycle. Rolling the curve with the wheel is better, either your wheeling out inconsistent hammer marks or your methodically creating a consistent curve. After you shrunk the edges you ended up with a panel that you still can’t paint, the center of the panel isn’t as curved as the sides. You should have gone back to the wheel and wheeled the area that you shrunk. It will smooth it all out. One last thing, you wasted so much metal cutting your fender metal out of the center of the blank piece. I have a shop full of Eastwood tools, there are other that would have been better to help demonstrate this project.
Fair point. Be sure to check out the MIG 140 and all the other tools I was working with! www.eastwood.com/eastwood-140-amp-mig-welder.html Perfect opportunity for a shameless plug. haha. -JD

You made a booboo. Green cuts right, red cuts left. Good video though thankyou for making it
Great, but, you CAN add more material, if you absolutely have to. This metal NOT wood.
Fair point.
