KV Reddy garu, the Director, achieved his Absolute Peaks with this movie, even fighting with the Producers B Nagireddy and Chakrapani when they disagreed with him on choices - for example, NTR as Sri Krishna, Savitri as Sasirekha and switching roles for Rushyendramani from Revathi (Balarama’s wife) to Subhadra (Abhimanyu’s wife). He even made the Tamil and Telugu Versions shoot same scenes simultaneously, something so Rare and first-times in nascent multi linguals back in 1957.
First time I saw this in 1971 (by that time this move was 15 years old since release) as young kid, I was laughing the whole day. Great performance by every character. SV Ranga Rao, Savitri and Ramana Reddy stood apart.

I have been continuously watching this movie since my childhood. Now I'm on the right side of my sixty. This film is 100%perfect in all aspects. I have even watched tamil version also but i like Relangi when compared to Tangavelu.

Who said Baahubali is the best film...It has a very big Screw-up that you also agree.... The father of the Villain who is responsible for all the pain in the movie is spared.... If I were the director, I would have made Kattappa to backstab him... The movie could have been a much better movie.... In a war philosophy, anybody from the enemy camp shouldnot be left or spared.. After completing 80% of movie ,nagireddy expressing un happy about movie that their was no comedy in this movie for me,,( front bench audience),Then he booked relangi for laknakumaran role agreeing the condition laid by relangi that the picture contains a duet scene with savitrigaru
Really I still enjoy watching this movie. I saw this movie when I was studying in school, now even after 30years it's still entertaining to watch this movie. Even Harry potter, bahubali cannot match it.
