I can't tell you how much I appreciate this series. Have been thinking of going modular for a while, but I literally didn't know where or how to start. I'm still quite a bit a time away from making that investment, but at least it isn't as daunting as it was before. Nice work. Please keep this series going!!!
Great lecture - great inspiration (din´t take HipHop into my thinking about Modulars yet). Why limit myself: will take my A100 Minirack into some nice grooves, extend it properly and check it out. Thanks for your brilliant personal contribution of superb knowledge from Germany. Appreciate it.
Thanks! I must be on the right track, my MGrid design had 2 of the three nodes you mentioned. If i ever really build it I'd like to have an MM-32 as my oscillator.
+harry mindgame yeah great documentary man. i interviewed those guys too. lots more info on how why they made the Doc! thanks for checking out the episode Harry.
Just discovered this series as I'm deciding whether not to dig into modular synthesis for hip-hop and this is incredible information. I love the tinkering but didn't want to just end up with a purely bleeps and bloops weird ambient thing
Good look looking out with this series since I'm going to get into modular and I am looking at different modules to start off with. Just picked up a mother 32 and I am looking at going 104hp and 6u as well.
+WaxDat8800 Yeah thats a great starting point. I think that will allow you to know what you think you may want to add and what sort of functionality you need beyond M32. good stuff. let me know how you come along.
+harry mindgame thanks Harry. Yeah I contemplated for over a year on which case and finally decided I wanted this type that just so happen to not exist in this exact form. Dave at Artfortheears.com was so gracious about doing it with the added engraving which was his idea.
I'm a couple of years into modular but I'm looking forward to seeing your journey. BTW really digging BREAM Vol1 (available on Bandcamp)- check it out people.
no. i like analog and digital. my eurorack has always had both analog and digital oscilators. Do you mean am I going all hardware? answer would be no there as well. I use digital, analog, hardware and software.
Man, you are going to throw SO many dollars at that case to fill it! And then you'll see something new - and change it. Just like me! You know it's synth crack - step away!

Nice case. you are really going in deep and building your own Modular rack.
+harry mindgame thanks Harry. Yeah I contemplated for over a year on which case and finally decided I wanted this type that just so happen to not exist in this exact form. Dave at Artfortheears.com was so gracious about doing it with the added engraving which was his idea.
Nice video fam. I don't know much about Modular so I appreciate the info you are passing on.
+Mic Checkmate no doubt. Thanks Fam! hope it helps. thanks for the support.
I'm not a cat but I have a cat and I found this interesting.

great first episode!
+Scott Brown Thanks Scott! much more to come.
I’m trying to do the same thing. Are you going fully analog?
no. i like analog and digital. my eurorack has always had both analog and digital oscilators. Do you mean am I going all hardware? answer would be no there as well. I use digital, analog, hardware and software.
