- Proper Microphone technique and vocal mic etiquette is something I HEAVILY advise any musician to take some time in learning. You don't need an insane vocal chain to get started, just a bit of common sense!
Mics I'd recommend starting with: the Shure sm58, SE Electronics v7, electrovoice nd96, audix om7 review, or the Shure KSM9 Live
Microphones I HEAVILY recommend for Live Performances:
Shure SM58 (The most common used vocal microphone in the WORLD)

The SE Electronics v7 (love this mic, solid guy good guy)

The Electrovoice nd96 (fr fr my favorite)

The Audix OM7

The Immaculate, Shure KSM9 Live

Thaks for the tips. My terrible singing will really come through now
😂
Another point on gripping the grill, it changes the polar pattern of the mic and can also cause feedback! The bottom of the grill is open to let some sound in to cancel out other sound. If you grip it wrong, suddenly your mic loses its cardioid pattern become "omnidirectional" causing feedback and the sound guy to cry inside.
Good point!
Thank you, I needed this
im so full of mic knowledge now i can barely contain it. I need to buy a couple of mics for a show so perfect timing. also your editing is s tier 🤙
thank you! Glad I could help :)
Great job brother.😊
I agree with everything except Mike etiquette for speeches. I feel like people think it's awkward that you can't see somebody's mouth when they're talking and that leads to them moving the mic down to below their chin when they give speeches
Did u just say molson Canadian
