"Ice Chips" made me cry. It was beautiful.
I’m going to come out and say it: Abby Elliot is criminally underrated and was underused on SNL
It wouldn't be a comment section without the "underrated" declaration.
@@baxtronx5972 Understandable. Though when it comes to Abby Elliott I fully agree she was way underrated and underused on SNL! I think she was and is great!
The SNL sketches that are funny enough and work get aired. If she wasn’t used enough, that means she didn’t write enough sketches that were funny enough or worked.
She not underrated and she wasn’t underused.
@@baxtronx5972lol she was awful and seems like not a cool human being
@cwg73160 Yeah because Lorne’s judgement is impeccable lol. Guess you’ve never seen the dozens of cut for time sketches that were way better than aired ones.
When she said “we have a clip”, UA-cam went to an ad at that exact moment!😂 I was so excited for a split second until it was Wayfair!🤦🏻♀️😤🤣🤣
I thought the same! Just like whaaaa the ff oh you got me you sneaky bastards! 😆
You just know some evil genius on the show’s social media team was like “OOOO I KNOW HOW WE GONNA GET EM! 🤣”
I’ve always thought that Abbie was under valued on SNL and I’m so happy to see her just CRUSHING IT on The Bear! OMG, you are simply breathtaking on this amazing show. Emmy WORTHY!!!
Both Abby and Liza got their shining moments thos season ❤
My favourite complaint about The Bear (da bear) is "too much yelling" lol
1 Chicago
2 Italians
3 A kitchen!!
Abby Elliot, Jenny Slate, Cassie Wilson and Nasim Pedrad were truly amazing and remarkable, they just happened to be part of one of the most competitive periods of SNL history. A Golden Era some might say.
That episode she starred in was INSANE. I can't watch it ever again, so many emotions and so intense. Jamie Lee Curtis is almost TOO good an actor
I'm a guy and I was bawling through the episode. How can cynical idiots miss the point of that episode so much. Top 10 favorite eps in the last decade for me.
UA-cam cut to an ad right after she said "I think we have a clip" in a piece of wonderful timing! 😂
I had a HUGE crush on her when she was on SNL!!!!!!!! Crazy how fine she is with a Chris Elliott for a dad!!!! 🤣🤣
I love Abby, I love the dress, I love the hair, just everything!
Looked at her IMDB because I didn’t know she was on SNL. And somehow didn’t make the connection watching The Bear that she played the craziest GF Ted had on HIMYM that made him decide it was finally time to really settle down.
There's a reason why you were probably unaware of her tenure. It's because, throughout the entirety of it, she (and all the other female cast members) was overshadowed by Kristen Wiig, who was pretty much the "star" of the show during Abby's tenure to the point where they'd give her roles that probably should've gone to the other women.
Abby is definitely one of the most Underrated SNL CAST MEMBERS!!IN THE HISTORY!!!She worked in STUDIO 8H FOR YEARS!!!
5:40 i think we have a clip..😂
Abby Elliot is amazing, and should be used in more things. This is the definition of SNL underutilizing a talent.
"I think we have a clip" 😹💀
funny thing... right after she said "i think we have a clip" the video cut to an ad and my heart literally stopped 'cause for a second i thought there was an actual clip
I had to pass through a lot of the birth episode. It was again just so hard and so real. I couldn't do it with the abuse but still wanting your mother.
We love abby elliott
It should be said more often that Abby is entertainment royalty.
Her father is Chris Elliott from Letterman, and her grandfather is Bob Elliott of Bob and Ray,
radio and television shows that ran from the '40s up to the '80s.
If you mean another talentless nepobaby forced on us because someone in her family was famous, then yeah, you are correct...
She kind of sounds like Kaley Cuoco, who is around the same age. Her father and grandfather are comedy legends.
That dress is fabulous on you!
Loved her on SNL, like many I felt her tenure was too short. I found it funny when I found out back then she's Chris Elliott's (who also was on SNL) daughter since he hasn't changed much visually since Groundhog Day, even though he's in his 60's.
@@amonrodriguez3518 I'm not fond of nepo babies riding the success of their parents either, but that doesn't mean they can't be talented, and she is! 😋
I mean please, Michael lorne, please make Abby back to host at least one episode of SNL!!!She deserves that!!!
It's clear how much effort goes into the content. It really shows.
She was on SNL? Wow. I don't recall her at all. Like her on The Bear, though.
So under utilized during her time at snl
Wow didn't know she was on snl, I'll go back UA-cam it
She had a lot of good impressions and characters
I've always felt she's just too conventionally good looking to be on snl 😂 Good that her talent is recognised in the right place
Getting SNL paid content recommendation on Seth Meyers show cause Peacock not selling internationally on UA-cam (also not nationally, I think)😅
I’m in need of your prayers and healing vibes. Please keep me in your thoughts as I work towards better health.
Am I the only one who didn't get a commercial during the clip
I wonder if her dad is still hanging out under the stairs in that studio...
If Chris Elliott was still under his old stairs, then he'd be haunting Kelly Clarkson. Her show is taped in 6A where Letterman taped.
Seth's a couple floors up in studio 8G, next to SNL's studio 8H.
@@ThamiumOne Interesting - i always thought Late Night has been in the same studio forever.
@@zuckussman- It was there for a long time, about 27 years total, combining Letterman and Conan O'Brien. When Jimmy Fallon took over from Conan, the show shifted next door to 6B, the same studio Johnny Carson's first 10 years of the Tonight Show was based, and where Fallon hosts the current Tonight Show.
It's pretty interesting the amount of shows these studios have seen:

gorgeous woman
Kaley, is that you?! 🤓
TIL she’s Chris Elliot’s daughter, talented family
A third generation comic!
And why? I guess I could watch and find out. I could also self-lobotomize. I think it’s time to going back to reading books. Even genre fiction. Police procedurals. Anything. Not this.
I love Seth, but he is the king of giving no talent nepobabies spots as guests.
Watched this live. This actress seemed so stuck up and out of touch with the real world. And she’s not even a big name until this show lol. Goes to show how smug some actors are
This is at least the 3rd disparaging comment you’ve left on this video. Abby seems like a funny sweet person and you come across like a bitter asshole.
Are you just a troll? Who cares if you watched it live? Why are you watching it again. Sounds like you need to get out more.
I bet she asked him not to remind her of her father (during this chat). Her father was, in retrospect, a rather mediocre actor who didn't make the cut for more than one season while with SNL.
Is everyone in entertainment a nepo baby now?
That’s how entertainment has worked forever. No one else wanted to do it. In history most jobs were passed down. Now entertainment is hugely lucrative. It used to be a bit shameful and best left to the Jews.
Nepotism is everywhere and in everything all through time. It’s not good but it’s not always bad.
Her birth/labour episode on The Bear was appalling. Jamie Lee Curtis overacting like crazy and just an episode to pad out a terrible ‘pretend’ season
For God sake
Are you all running out of topics
Sick ameticans
Who wants to know
Abby's performance as Natalie in The Bear is worthy of an Emmy. Phenomenal Season 3 for her!
I could hardly get through 'doors'
