Shawn Parrotte When he plays it live,he plays the b5 to b7 and then immediately hammers on back to the b5 with his little finger. Makes it sound so much better :) Hope others can see this and try it!
I can honestly say this is the best tutorial for "Give Me Love" that I have watched, and have fully been able to understand. Thanks Shawn! You made it so easy to learn!
Guys, serious question here is there anyone on here who's tutorials are on the same level as shawns? I'm my opinion his tutorials are the best on UA-cam
Thank you so much, this is a very accurate tuto ! One remark : as usual, Ed tunes down the 6th string from E to B , so that the 5th and 6th strings play the same note. It allows the « open « B string to be strummed fully and still sound good Cheers !
I'm really having a hard time playing the 3rd string on the C#M7 chord. It always ends up getting muted. Any suggestins? There's no way to move my finger so that the finger joint crease doesn't end up on that string.
Perfect tutorial, as always. What kind of guitar stings do you use on this guitar? I got the same one but I can't really find the strings that I like the most. These that you use really brings out the tone of the guitar :)
Th3C4ke I'm using medium light acoustic polyweb Elixir strings here. They need to be changed in a bit, but they maintain their brightness for quite a while.
PLEASE do You need me i don't need you the LIVE ROOM VERSION. Its really long but its how he plays the complete version of the song and there's no full tutorial for it. Love the vids Shawn
In the live version, Ed Sheeran - Give Me Love @ 02 arena, London 13/10/14 can anyone tell me what he's doing at the start? Which plays while he talks?
Hello, could you tell me you, do you use on your guitar strings please, I have an equal to you. and I do not know what strings, use my guitar, I do not know if it's .10 or .11 .12
The strum pattern is D D U D U. The first "down" is double the amount of time as the rest of the beats. So when you're counting, the first "down would be counts "1 and" and the rest would be only be half a count. I hope this helps a bit!!
When i do the first bar chord (G#maj7), my little b string keeps ringing out and it does not sound like it should, it sounds higher pitched but i have my guitar tuned properly and i have my kapo on the second fret, help?
Hey this was a great one man i really liked it, sorry i keep bothering you man but if you could check out Ed Sheeran's cover of Bob Dylans Masters Of War and see what you think id appreciate it. Keep up the nice tutorials man!
I could not do barre chords for a whole, but I realised it was because my action was too high. The fact my skin was always destroyed after every playing session for 3 months straight was a giveaway( I play everyday for more than 2 hours). I got to the point I perfected arpeggios and scales before barre chords. Oh well, decrease your actions, it will work!
+blackstar0000000 You should try learning them. They are really important in many great songs and without them you wouldnt be able to play certain chords(etc Bm). Plus they are really helpful for improving finger strength.
+blackstar0000000 You can do it without barchords, I learnt it without them and the song sounded quite similar, but bar chords will make it sound more original.
Okay so I watched UA-cam videos on how to do Bar chords and it helped a lot. Since I have short and fat fingers it's really difficult for me but it comes with practice and you can do it!! 1. Try to roll your finger so certain chords aren't muted, it also is easier to press harder if you put your baring finger sideways. 2. Make sure your joints are not touching any chords. It's much harder and painful to press with them and VERY ineffective lol. I still have a hard time with this. 3. Depending on how your hands are, everyone has a slightly different preference/position. That's why you have to practice in order to find the best way for you. 4. Make sure that your index finger is being used to its fullest capacity. What I mean by that is don't stick the tip of it out when your doing a bar chord, use it to grab the low E string. I hope this helped, and I hope I was clear enough! Good luck with the bar chords:)
I couldn't do them either for the longest time. After bout a year im finally getting them to sound clearer. Start with songs that have some power chords and if you like Ed Sheeran learn You Need Me I Don't Need You. In that song you only barre the first three strings to play how he plays it. That built up some strength for me. Trust me you'll get barre chords if you build up to it :)
junge diese menschen die die akkorde nicht zeigen nicht jeder weist welcher akkore du meinst wen du den namen von den akkord sagst... wen irgend ein deutscher das liest und das fühlt lass mich es wissen
Finally someone who put the real thing together instead of an easier Am-F-C version. Thanks a lot!

Guys place your capos on the 1st fret. It is exactly like in the live version.
*sounds exactly like
He played it on the 2nd fret
Perfect tutorial, as always. What kind of guitar stings do you use on this guitar? I got the same one but I can't really find the strings that I like the most. These that you use really brings out the tone of the guitar :)

Is he leaving the bottom open 'E' string open whilst he is playing the B Major?
Hello, could you tell me you, do you use on your guitar strings please, I have an equal to you. and I do not know what strings, use my guitar, I do not know if it's .10 or .11 .12
This is awesome thanks. Is the strum pattern d d d u d u. I can't quiet keep up lol and it's confusing me lol

When i do the first bar chord (G#maj7), my little b string keeps ringing out and it does not sound like it should, it sounds higher pitched but i have my guitar tuned properly and i have my kapo on the second fret, help?
It also kind of looks like you are muting the little e string when you strum on your right hand with your pinky
I was one of them people who requested that
Noah Devlin I listened to this song a long time ago, I'm happy that it was requested because I wanted to make a tutorial of it anyways.
Hey this was a great one man i really liked it, sorry i keep bothering you man but if you could check out Ed Sheeran's cover of Bob Dylans Masters Of War and see what you think id appreciate it. Keep up the nice tutorials man!
Hi, the website is down. Do you mind uploading the tabs again?
Did you get it by any chance, I used to have it on my old phone now it's gone
She by Ed Sheeran please Shawn
What is the mark of your guitar?
nice
James Bay - Movetogether, pleas. There is no tutorial on youtube.
When you’re progressing then drop your pic in your acoustic guitar:
Honestly fuck bar chords. I just can't do it, my hands are too small.
You literally just have to continuously practice I've only been playing two months and I can do barre chords.
+Lynx The Glorified same, i started on june, and i've been doing songs that has alot of bar chords, and now i can do them :)
Mark Venutra literally same, I started June 2nd haha
+Weird & Awesome! You can always buy a smaller guitar with low action, it will make barre chords 10x easier for you :)
I could not do barre chords for a whole, but I realised it was because my action was too high. The fact my skin was always destroyed after every playing session for 3 months straight was a giveaway( I play everyday for more than 2 hours). I got to the point I perfected arpeggios and scales before barre chords. Oh well, decrease your actions, it will work!
soy o la guitarra es pequeña osea se ve a pequeña
Es una Little Martin, si es mucho más pequeña, es la canción que usa ed sheeran pero en otro color, incluso tiene su propia versión de esa guitarra
You just made me realise how wrongly I was playing this song all this while.. Gotta improve. :D
Honestly there is no wrong way to play this song there are different ways to play it.
1:35 "Dam Daniel.. daniel.. daniel.. Dam Dan-"
I can't do bar chords :(

This is a great video but I wish you wouldn't waste all the time showing the finger disturbing of the easy chords like G C Em and shit. But thx bruh
RoboBoxa28 I don't want anything missing in my tutorials. You can skip them now with the annotations. Or just play it at 2x the speed.
+Shawn Parrotte For that I love u. But I play since 8 Years so I don't need them xF
Watch how he plays it live this isn’t It
