I think another important aspect that has to be taken into consideration when we are talking about how many sprays, is the amount a sprayer throws out. As we have all found out, the differences in sprayers can be extreme. Some only puff out tiny misty clouds. Others throw a concentrated field of juice on a small area. And of course there are the sprayers that never seem to hit the target we want them to haha!. All these variables just in the sprayers themselves…. require modifying our applying techniques AND the number of sprays. Excellent topic, Mr. Joy Amin!
Good talk about longevity! Coming from malaysia, I thought some of those western reviewers saying some perfume last for 8 hours were bs because I barely get 4 hours. Then you mentioned about weather and humidity and it makes sense but also is a bit of a bummer 😩
I have to be able to smell it all day, or for some fragrances that can't reasonably live up to that expectation I need to be able to get maybe 3-4 hours of strong projection, and usually that requires a good 15 sprays, sometimes more, even for some stuff that people think is really beast mode. As I've tried stronger and stronger stuff, I've realized how weak some of these fragrances really are and that they need a pretty substantial boost. I suspect that will only continue to be the case as I get into niche fragrances more which are notoriously stronger. I've got some fragrances that I only need 7 or 8 sprays from but that's like the minimum number I've found that works for me on a personal level. I'm sure others can smell my fragrance long after my nose can, but that's not why I wear fragrances so I go heavy and send my condolences to everyone with a sensitive nose who hates how much I use.

1 on the upper chest where your v neck splits. 1 on each side of neck, 1 on both inner elbows. And 1 on the t shirt = 6 Thats my method at least. May start adding a couple sprays cause I never seem to finish bottles before on to the next
No nothing in the front, you go nose blind. Two behind each ear, 2 on back of the neck, 2 on each elbow and maybe some in the hair. Adjust for each situation, fragrance and climate

They project more in hot weather but when you sweat on them they start to disappear.

I think the best way of wearing oud fragrances is on clothing, it stays forever if it is real oudi.
If it's free then it's easy to say it's good, that's exactly the case :-)
