@@JumugiDesunra What it lacks for in characters, makes up for music and tone. Like seriously this game feels so dark compared to the rest of the tekken series. Also the openness of the stages was a nice touch. To this day arena and mall are still one of my favorite tekken stages.
I know this game gets a love it/hate it rap, but the aesthetics were really unique to this installment. Music, backgrounds, play mechanics are a stark contrast from most of the series. Tekken 5 and up plays it safe.
what I realy loved about this game was that wind was actualy visible through the clothing! Like Miharus skirt waving or Julias hair. We do not have that many windy stages anymore.
the NOSTALGIA! i was around 5-6 years old when i played my first tekken (tekken 4), and imo this is the best one in the series. the music/stage design is still amazing in comparison to the other games.
I really wish that they built more upon what tekken 4 did, it was really interesting to have stages with obstacles that were very spacious but not exactly infinite. The beach stage stands out to me so much because it’s not an infinite stage, but one that is just very large and I love how you can take the fight into the water or on land. I love the use of uneven terrain, ceilings, and stages that aren’t just large squares. They should’ve improved upon these ideas instead of just getting rid of most of them. The stages in tekken 6 and 7 feel really closed in and boring while this game had huge environments to fight in. I really hope tekken 7 gets stages similar to tekken 4’s or that tekken 8 uses these ideas in a fully fleshed out way.
Years ago I wanted to buy TK5 with my brothers, they didn't have it at the store (we had no internet back then) and we ended up buying TK4. I have never regretted it.
Really, Tekken 4 has some of the best looking aesthetic stages ever. Airport, Beach, Building and Mall are my faves. Also some have nice soothing music. Miss this game. Good old memories when I spent after school times playing it with friends.

I'm just here hoping harada makes the the god damn right decision and remasters 3 stages from each Tekken 1-4. All separate dlc packs like a Tekken 1 stage DLC pack, Tekken 2 and so forth. I personally want the Mall, beach, and airport stages from Tekken 4 in Tekken 7. that's a DLC pack of remastered stages from Tekken 4 I'd definitely buy and I think almost everyone that has Tekken 7 would purchase the Tekken 4 stage DLC pack too lol.
Carlos Ramon lol I know. It would be fucking lit if they brought back the Shinjuku, Mall, beach, and laboratory stages in Tekken 7. They could even add a new generation twist and make shit break lol. Imagine being able to break someone through the window balconies on the upper level of the mall, break the glass of a particular closed store in Shinjuku, and I seen the Labratory stage as a mod and in it u could break multiple doors. Harada should do shit like this IMO it will sell lol

It's probably just the fact that Tekken 4 stages had more detail due to being bigger and more complex. The actual textures and modeling in Tekken 5 were way better.
there is amazing stuff here like airport or mall but also horrible stuff like parking lot and shinjuku. listening to these tracks on repeat will give you tinitus or make you very annoyed. Hon-Maru is good bcs it doesnt break your concentration while still being atmospheric.

the beach theme is so good!
Like honestly tekken 4 had the best stages. So spacious
Juan Rodriguez yes.. they were pretty fuckin creative. It felt different. Felt like the next gen coming from the PS1 era

For me "Touch and go" and "Authentic sky" are the best of all Tekken games. I think the look of the stages also have some influence.
