Teofimo Lopez will defend his WBO and Ring Magazine titles against Jamaine Ortiz on Thursday, Feb. 8, at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Lopez-Ortiz headlines an action-packed televised doubleheader that kicks off Big Game Weekend.
In the 10-round lightweight co-feature, U.S. Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis faces Puerto Rican former two-division world champion Jose “Sniper” Pedraza.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Takeover Promotions and CES Boxing, tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. PT and can be purchased at AXS.com.
Lopez-Ortiz and Davis-Pedraza will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.

Imo, this fight was competitive, definatly not a dominant performance by Ortiz as the title suggests. He fought a washed up 36 yo guy, who's legs and stamina were gone after the 6th, and he hit him clean several times with little effect. Even though Herring has lost several steps and was way slower, he was still able to time Ortiz several times comming inside. I could and have been wrong b4, but Imo, It's going to be a quick and easy night for Teo!
Teo got wrecked by kambosus so he isn’t reliable

I agree it was a competitive fight and Herring wasn’t dominated. Ortiz is a good boxer but nothing special and his fight against Teo may look the same based on how Teo looks since he hasn’t fought in a while. He has the chance to beat Teo but I think Teo has better power so we will see…

If it's a close 12 round Fight like I think they will give it Teo but other than that his skill level is not far off but Ortiz fundamentals are better than Teofemale.
