As an American from NC, I 'd say hats off to Mr. Hiddleston, he put his heart and soul in this film, and delivered a gem! People who go to see this movie expecting an exact voice, better not go, this film is not only about the singing! It is about Hank Williams' life, demons, pain, marriage, a biography made with respect and love!
Tom is absolutely talented! I think his talent is being so diluted with his news with Taylor. We should really focus in this great actor's elegance, well-educated manner, talent and his professionalism to acting. I think Tom could go far more than he is now. I can't wait to see he shines more in the business.

I'm so sick of the way actors' performances are advertised based on the crazy things they did to their bodies, like losing or gaining huge amounts of weight for a film... It's unhealthy and stupid because ultimately, this is NOT what a great acting performance is about. I'm really happy to hear him say that, because he's a guy who is clearly extremely dedicated to his work, and yet he is reasonable enough to realize that this kind of extreme behaviour should not be promoted. This kind of intelligence, wisdom and just, I guess, "healthy" approach to life is one of the reasons why I love Tom.

She dreamed of being a Country n Western star before becoming a pop star. She went to Nashville early in her career too, and she writes songs about her life experiences, she also become a huge star in her twenties. I think Tom fell in love with her iconography, and someone he really looked up to as an artist.
Strange thing about this is now i realise who Tom Hiddleston looks like. He looks like a young Matt Johnson (The The) circa the Infected (1986) era. And weirdly enough it's Matt who got me into Hank through The The's sublimely wonderful Hanky Panky covers LP in 1995. So strange that I've made the connection but both Matt and Tom do look alike. Very good looking guys.
I keep wondering where Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Smith,David Tennet and Eddie Redmayne are when Tom Hiddleston is in the limelight. I think Britain's best exports are nature documentaries and nice young actors.

But when you got cumberbatch and redmayne as rivals it's probably smart that he is going down a different route with the action type films.
