Hi im flying from Canada to Brazil on sept 27th and have a layover in Panama of 1h 14 mins. Will I need to pass through customs and security? its my first time flying alone and im really nervous about missing my second flight Ive read that the minimum time needed for an international layover is 2 hours to pass through customs and security?? also not sure if it matters but I am flying with the same airline, its 3 planes in total its with Copa Airlines thank you!
hello, if you fly through Copa you only have to look for your other boarding gate as soon as you get off the plane. You do not have to do customs or immigration.
I'm traveling to Peru From UAE, Turkish Airlines to Panama then Copa Airlines, do i need to check the my luggage then go to the gate ? And if it within 3 hours and 29 minutes it's enough from your experience, I have anxiety
Three hours is enough, I understand that you don't have to go through customs, because Turkey Airlines has an agreement with Copa Airlines and you just have to go to your boarding gate and the airline takes care of everything. @@catttoz actually I face a problem with Turkish Airlines so the plan changed I'll travel after a week with Qatar Airways much better respectful stuff, I've checked everything with them at the airport and I get everything ready so next week I'll take the step ☺️
@@catttoz Turkish Airlines informed me that I need something called Ok To Board, I asked other airlines they checked the system and nothing like that, also they informed me that Panama now require a Transit visa if I haven't a history visit to Schengen countries

You do not need to do Immigration or Customs, it is a transit zone, you just go out and look for your next boarding gate, unless your stopover is many hours and you want to go for a walk through Panama City.
