Giorno, Valentine and Tooru all beat or at least can’t be beat by Goku. The only reason Johnny and Josuk8 aren’t here is they’re too slow to oneshot Goku (maybe if he tries to block their attacks as a show of power they can win?)
I really didn’t like JoJo until I watched it ( I know it makes no sense ) but after watching it turned into one of my favorites

Before I got into Jojo's, I was mostly annoyed at it. It wasn't hate, but there was a very vocal minority that made me not want to watch it. By the time I got to Dio doing vampire shit, I was like "ya know, maybe just one more episode." I watched the first four parts and OVA in less than a month after that. Now I'm currently reading Part 7.
Edit: I am now all caught up with the series, and I can't wait for Part 9.
Part 7 is legendary, hoping you finish it because it's just nonstop crazy good after you get past ch.40 or so
I literally read ALL of part 7 in about 4 days, it's all I wanted to do, all of my free time wanting to discover how it ended
@@Hynet1 oh, I already find it non stop crazy good. I'm hoping to finish Part 8 by early December so I don't have to catch up, or so I at least don't have much to catch up on, for when Part 9 eventually starts serialization.

Based solely on the experiences I’ve had on Twitter most people don’t wanna watch Jojo because either 1. They hate the art style (anime fans love seeing copy and paste art styles for some reason) or 2. They say the fans are annoying (which is honestly valid) but I could never imagine passing up a show just because of the fan base
MHA for me is an example of an anime I do not wanna go to because of its shitty fanbase
@@leonmystique9372 See I don’t understand that. Yes the MHA fan base has some really weird people in it but its not like watching the show is gonna turn you into one of them. You can easily watch it and then just move on.

I never had a problem with JoJo or any anime before I watched any anime before. I just saw it as an overrated thing, I never payed attention to it, I just know it's there. Also the artstyle freaked me out a bit (not in a bad way) and weirded me out because it wasn't like normal anime where everyone is cute with huge eyes. The only animes I probably watched before the popular ones were Pokemon and Miss Kobiyashi Dragon Maid (Ms. Kobi was introduced to me at a young age because a kind stranger suggested me the anime). Then I watched Cells at Work (in English because I didn't know anime was actually in Japanese), the first season of MHA (in Japanese) then took a short break. Then one day, I was bored and intruiged by memes because the new JoJo just dropped, JoJo part 5 was just animated. Then, I finally started watching JoJo (in Japanese). I knew nothing about it, I didn't see many memes about it, just a few, and Iw as from the very beggining, part 1. Slowly entering the first episode, I was worried because I thought I wasn't watching the right one (yk how sometimes Netflix can be weird and not show certain seasons or episodes), I checked and it was for sure episode one, when it was raining, lighting and a carrige had been destroyed, met by an old ugly man looting for riches. It was strange to me because I saw that it was a carrige, something from a long time ago when I saw memes that had cars in it. I payed no attention and kept watching. Throughout my journey through the series, I loved it so much even though I didn't know what was happening half of the time. It was amazing and it is in fact my favourite anime. I still need to read the manga haha. And I'm rewatching everything in English because I'm bored.

The irony in that most people are predisposed to not like Jojo for its vocal fanbase, but then the Jojo reviews seem to have a trend of the weird vocal dbz fans 🤣
PS: as someone who REALLY can't handle animal cruelty, Part 1 Episode 1 (and a lot of Part 3, beginning of Part 4, you get the idea) was ROUGH. Literally took multiple weeks to get to Part 1 Episode 2 because that shit with Danny stayed with me.

I used to be a hardcore Jojo nay sayer about 10 years ago. I'd always mock my friends for watching it and generally shun the show. Then on a dare I watched a couple episodes of Stardust Crusaders. I immediatly apologized to my friends and ended up loving the series. It's just something you gotta experience to really appreciate.

Love what you love. All power to you. I enjoy stuff that I know is junk, but I can easily weather the criticism because of my own preferences.
My gf has been "forcing" me (as in: being asked every several weeks "so how far are you with Jojo's?" Grain of salt, right there) to watch it, and it has proven to be a slog at the best of times. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a couple of anime, but I guess my key problem is how the show works. It honestly makes me think back to my times watching Power Rangers or other kids' shows: episodic storytelling that is based almost entirely off of deus ex machina to solve the problem or random ass-pulls that are supposed to make you go "WOW." People have told me "that's the point of the show" more than once, but the majority of episodes default to this so predictably that I cannot feel invested in what's going on: "Oh no! The villain has a flawless setup that has our heroes backed into a corner and the walls are closing in! How EVER will they survive?!?!?" Only for a seemingly random set of circumstances solving the whole thing with the heroes leaving while saying something to the effect of "they fell right into my trap."
I BINGE long-form shows that have through-lines and twists and turns, but watching a single episode of Jojo's makes me say "aaaaaaand that's enough for the day." I do not (read: CANNOT) criticize anyone for liking what they do. You like the show? All power to you. I myself like plenty of flawed IPs that are worthy of criticism, so saying there's something objectively bad is untrue. Speaking simply, it feels as if they tried to make an adult show (seriously, soooo much fucked up stuff in this series), but structure it largely as a "monster of the week" narrative that has a through-line, and it just isn't working for me.
Each time I say an arc isn't working for me, the response is always "wait till the next one! It's amazing!" Then I watch it and I feel the same. I wish I could get on this train, but it doesn't seem to have a spot for me :(
Well jojo USED to be hated. It definitely has a better reputation now. Mostly people don't like the goofy bizzare stuff + the artstyle

1:09 tbh Jotaro’s character gets a lot more interesting when you headcanon him as autistic.
Also, he’s got more character depth than people give him credit for even beyond that. Not like, a huge amount more, but more. It’s just a fair bit more subtle than Jojo’s usually is, reading between the lines. For example, I think it’s mentioned that his mom can always tell how he’s feeling, so that may be why he acts so stoic; because he thinks he’s just that easy to read. Again, not like, the most hidden depth to a character, but a bit more than people give him credit for.
I want to ask the guy that say that “jojo part 1 opening is confusing” i mean do you want the anime to spoil the entire show in the opening like many openings do? And “Jonathan forgive dio for killing Danny” that is not surprising at all seeing Jonathan personality we know that he is a very good guy and he probably thinks that everyone deserve a second chance “Jonathan only push dio when he found out that dio poison his dad” I agree that is dumb

The fans are 110% the biggest drawback, they never shut the hell up and are annoying as hell. I’m so glad I watched the 1st part with no context and never encountered the fans until I hit part 3 and I was already hooked so I couldn’t be swayed.
When l saw for the first time Jojo characters from part 3 l was like: " wtf, why this is so popular, art is ugly af. I will never watch it"
Years later l watched first season, 2 season and the rest and l regret that my dumb ass watch it so late.

I've been reading through the manga. Took a pause midway through part 3 and it's been enjoyable so far. From what i've seen my favorite series has to be part 2 because Stands aren't my favorite.
