Currently in the process of restoring / restomodding a Bburago Testarossa & Countach. Got a lot of inspiration from your videos, thank you. Loved many aspects of this build and I love that you block out the leds like I planned to, nice to see it done. Blocked in rear view mirror of the Countach silver first then black on top and it looks amazing for how little work it took just masked the mirror side.
Been lookin to get into tho can you list all the stuff you used like the tool you made into the front splitter and the putty you used also thanks you 😊
Hi, many thanks 👍 I don't remove the old paint before primer. I only grind the old paint before primer and top coat. On old Maisto and Bburago there are big gaps between the doors or hood, they are smaller after more layers of new paint over the old. It looks better, less work an i had never problems doing it in that way. I would not recommend to overpaint Autoart or Kyosho, because they have with original paint too small gaps, it would be a problem with opening parts.
Excelente trabalho, tenho uma BMW como a sua, mas na cor Vermelho, vou dar um upgrade na minha, ela apresenta porosidade na pintura, enfim, quero deixar novo de novo.
Hi, thanks for the positive feedback. Best way to find spare parts is ebay or local market with used stuff. If you need only parts, look for a used or model in bad condition. I know in germany is a guy selling spare parts, but shipping is very expensive
Many thanks 🙂 👍 i use black velvet powder for the carpet. First i use black paint, paint thick and wet layer, before it dry, sprinkle the velvet powder over it
Hi quick question how did u put these wheels on like did u cut some of the axel of or did u glue the wheels because i have exact same model and bbs from SD model and they dont fit and stay on the car
Hi, i cut a little bit off from the axle to make sure, that the wheel fits perfectly with the fender. Than i glue it with fast hardening 2K epoxy glue. You can also do rolling wheels, look my Bburago Ferrari 288GTO Video to see how it works
Looking great! I’m building the same model. However I’m respraying mine in Imola with camel/black interior. Quick question though, did you get you wheels from sdmodeling? I’m looking for tires for my 3 piece OZ futuras I printed. So I’m curious if yours are the 15” versions. Thanks for any insight.
Hi, yes that are SD wheels, but not the 15" they are way too small for the E36. I think that are the 19" version. Good luck for your build and thanks for the comment 🙂👍
Looking great! I think how you lowered the suspension with the washers is a great idea!
Many thanks 😊👍Regarding the Suspension, you can do lowering with washer disc on every Maisto model. Fast and easy 🙂
Crazy how good the interior looks with the LED lights too, great job!!!
Fantastic end result. Love the BMW colors in the grille area.
