Masha'Allah great video. I was in Iran with my wife 2 months ago. Alhamdolillah our experience was excellent. We visited 4 big cities spent 20 days and used all types of transportation there. Iranian are very loving people. Alhamdolillah we didn't get any issue there. My personal advise us please follow the rules according to each country. Read before going to a new country. In Iran you can make videos with mobile phones but not with cameras. I used my mobile in and out side the holy area of Mashhad without any problem. Your videos are very interesting. Keep it up. May Allah always protect you and your family.

Iran has to many enemies and many intelligence services trying to make a same scenario like Syria and Libya in our country. Maybe these days Iran was in high level security and that happened to you. I remember once in Mashad I approached by a Pakistani family who lost their money and needed money I helped them and felt good about it. You should judge these experiences with fairness and awarness of situations. Unfortunately many terrorists pass border from Pakistsn to Iran in recent years just the recent one was mass killing in Shiraz Shahcheragh which ISIS terrorists came through pakistan border.

I was in Iran last year in June-July and it was my first international travel, I loved it a lot. I traveled 4 cities Chah Bahar, Esfehan, Tehran and Mashhad. And I traveled by road, entered into Iran from Rimdan-Gumdan border and exited from Taftan border. I recorded many videos on the streets, on bus stations, while eating food and never had any problem anywhere. Maybe all the fuss happened because of the recent protests started in Iran. I loved Iran so much that I want to visit it again with my family.
Iran has over the last 5 years had many cases of Espionage and sensitive sites targeted the security is very strict due to the intelligence they have and a few EU UK citizens have been caught in cases of Espionage under the guise of bloggers. Hopefully things will improve very soon.

My mother and her friend were also had this experiences in Iran coming back to Karbala because their flight was back to US from Baghdad Iraq but luckily my mother speak Persian so they communicate and after very though time they let them go but it was very frustrated.
People of Iran is beyond any other nation in term of hospitality , back in 2011 when I first visited Iran no one was allowed to pull off a camera in public for any purpose of video or photo , u guys are lucky to make vlogs. Try to avoid the Irani police as much as u can if anyone is visiting Iran . Language is the biggest barrier in Iran only Tehrani's upper class can speak english . Finally a suggestion for foodies if visiting Mashhad then PISARAN-e-Karim resturant is a must do . The speciality is called Challow Mahichay and its damn tasty .

The sanctions and international vilification of Iran has , to a large extent, put the country in a siege mindset. The regional / global politics vis a vis Iran has made the Iranians very cautious ( bordering on suspicious) of foreigners. There is always a fear of Riyadh and Tel Aviv backed criminals creeping into the country to unleash acts of terrorism and sabotage.

My Iranian classmates say it is part of the customer service in Iran to first reject money at first if people get even a little friendly with the staff- but you are expected to insist and pay! Regarding the restaurant where you were short of cash, that happened to me and my Pakistani friend in a Moroccan restaurant in Granada, Spain. We went back to the hotel, and brought him the rest of the money + a huge tip. Moroccans everywhere, generally, felt incredible love for my friend when they realized he was Pakistani. I was surprised and asked one of them later why they felt such affection for Pakistan. Their response: "Its the only Moslem country with the N weapon"!! LOL, that's true though!

I advice you all, never argu with immigrant/custom officer of any country, they have much authority to do anything worst either you are obliged or not. In dubai my colleague had an interview with US custom officer, an argument come across he teared the passport at which USA visa endorsed.

I am unsure of Iranian laws but going through what you narrated it seems you guys were simply questioned on suspicion of any wrongdoing but was not arrested ALHAMDULILLAH, and charged; it is good to learn that despite your harassment, which was avoidable and apparently uncalled for, You were not sore with the Iranian authorities and more importantly with the Iranian people. That is the true spirit of a globe trotter who believes in the world to be one. Great! Keep it up guys

Getting visa for other countries becomes difficult once you have Iranian visa on your passports..., anyways take extra care when travelling..
I advice you all, never argu with immigrant/custom officer of any country, they have much authority to do anything worst either you are obliged or not. In dubai my colleague had an interview with US custom officer, an argument come across he teared the passport at which USA visa endorsed.
Even in Iraq, security check also tough so camera mobile both are not allowed
