The Marquesan people were the first Polynesians who discovered Hawaii Islands. They were subjugated into slavery by the next explorers to Hawaii, the Tahitians.
You were right about them discovering Hawaii. The second claim that Tahitians enslaved them is not true. The French is the one who took over both lands (Marquesas and Tahiti).
@@hakaikinui2230 If your referencing Hawaiians then what you said is untrue. For us Hawaiians we know through our mo'olelo (stories) that the Tahitians came to Hawai'i as conquerors, and yes the Marquesans and Tuamotu people were one of the first to populate our islands, then came the Tahitians and Samoan chiefly lines. Tevita Kaili a Tongan professor also claims that early Hawaiians also came from as far as Tonga, and made reverse trips back to Souther Polynesia and settled there also, which is why Hawaiians today test so closely to NZ Maori.
Beautiful songs & dance. Love from Kingdom of Tonga 🇹🇴🇹🇴🇹🇴🙏
This is so dope. Shot really well too. Even though I’m NZ maori, I’m claiming familiarity as a poly 🙌.

Polynesian dances are so similar... This dance reminds of a samoan dance sasa....
Umm not so much
What's the name of the song at the end as they're preparing the food?
Marquesas islanders have small percentage of south american blood
They are Polynesian, all who are of the Polynesian triangle are all distant cousins but One Family for sure
